Abstract
ABSTRAK ̶ Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan campuran serbuk kayu sengon dan TKKS tehadap mutu biobriket serta perbandingan yang tepat untuk menghasilkan mutu terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan dengan perlakuan perbandingan campuran serbuk kayu Sengon (SKS) dengan tandan kosong sawit (TKS) yaitu 70% : 30%, 50% : 50% dan 30% : 70%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan perbandingan yang tepat menghasilkan mutu biobriket paling baik yaitu dengan perbandingan 70% serbuk kayu sengon (SKS) : 30% TKKS (TKS) yang diperoleh kadar air 5,95%, kadar abu 7,54%, kerapatan 0,671 g/cm³, kadar zat menguap 30,47%, kadar karbon terikat 55,27% dan nilai kalor 2870 kal/g. Kata kunci : biobriket, mutu biobriket, serbuk kayu sengon, TKKS ABSTRACT ̶ The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a mixture of sengon sawdust and empty fruit bunches on the quality of biobriquettes and the proper ratio to produce the best quality. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications with the treatment of a mixture of Sengon sawdust (SKS) and empty palm oil bunches (TKS), namely 70% : 30%, 50% : 50% and 30% : 70%. Based on the results of research that has been done the right comparison produces the best quality biobriquettes, namely with a ratio of 70% sengon sawdust (SKS): 30% Empty oil palm bunches (TKS) which obtained a moisture content of 5.95%, ash content of 7.54% , density 0.671 g/cm³, volatile matter content 30.47%, bound carbon content 55.27% and heating value 2870 cal/g.
