Abstract
Kelapa sawit (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) merupakan tanaman penghasil CPO (Crude Palm Oil) dan PKO (Palm Kernel Oil) menjadi salah satu primadona tanaman perkebunan untuk dikembangkan dengan tujuan komersial. Kebutuhan dunia terhadap minyak sawit semakin hari semakin meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk. Produktivitas kelapa sawit di provinsi Jambi masih tergologn rendah dengan produktivitas 2,3 ton/ha. Rendahnya produktivitas dikarenakan sebagaian besar perkebunan kelapa sawit di Provinsi Jambi umumya didominasi perkebunan rakyat yang dikelola secara kurang tepat dan ketersediaan bibit yang kurang berkualitas dengan daya tumbuh yang rendah. Usaha peningkatan produktivitas harus dilakukan, salah satunya adalah dengan pemupukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kombinasi terbaik kompos kotoran ayam dan solid sebagai suubtitusi pupuk anorganik NPKMg yang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan terbaik bibit kelapa sawit di main nursery.. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Ibru, Kecamatan Mestong, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi selama 3 bulan dari bulan Juni sampai bulan Agustus 2022.. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan yaitu kombinasi antara jumlah pupuk anorganik dan kompos yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan. Data yang diperoleh dari tiap variable pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam, apabila hasil berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test pada taraf 5%. Variabel yang diamati adalah pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan diameter batang, bobot kering akar, bobot kering tajuk dan rasio tajuk akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan salid berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan diameter batang, bobot kering akar, bobot kering tajuk dan rasio tajuk akar, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah daun. Pemberian 75 g Kompos + Pupuk Anorganik 25% merupakan hasil terbaik pada setiap variabel pengamatan. Oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) is a CPO (Crude Palm Oil) and PKO (Palm Kernel Oil) producer, which is one of the prima donna plantation crops to be developed for commercial purposes. The world's need for palm oil is increasing day by day along with the increasing population. The productivity of palm oil in Jambi province is still relatively low with a productivity of 2.3 tonnes/ha. The low productivity is due to the fact that most of the oil palm plantations in Jambi Province are generally dominated by smallholder plantations which are managed improperly and the availability of seeds of poor quality with low growth potential. Efforts to increase productivity must be done, one of which is by fertilizing. This study aims to obtain the best combination of chicken manure and solid compost as a substitute for NPKMg inorganic fertilizer which can provide the best growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The research was conducted in Ibru Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province for 3 months from month June to August 2022. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with one treatment factor, namely the combination of the amount of inorganic fertilizer and compost which consisted of 5 treatment levels. The data obtained from each observation variable were analyzed using analysis of variance, if the results had a significant effect then it was continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test at the 5% level. The variables observed were the increase in plant height, the increase in the number of leaves, the increase in stem diameter, root dry weight, shoot dry weight and root canopy ratio. The results showed that the application of compost mixed with chicken manure and salid had a significant effect on the increase in plant height, increase in stem diameter, root dry weight, shoot dry weight and root canopy ratio, but had no significant effect on the number of leaves. Giving 75 g of Compost + 25% Inorganic Fertilizer is the best result for each observation variable.
