Abstract
ABSTRACT Honey bees are the Utilization of Non-Timber Forest Products (HHBK) which is achieved through the management of an area by applying the principles of preservation and increasing income, while taking into account the function of the forest. The KPHP Unit XIII Muaro Jambi area is one of the areas that manages forests and utilizes NTFPs for Apis mellifera honey cultivation in Jambi Province which was developed by the Forest Farmers Group business unit. In carrying out its business units, honey farming groups experience problems in the field of production management and environmental conditions. One of the obstacles that cause these problems is the weather factor and reduced bee colonies. This research was conducted at KTH Madu Sejahtera KPHP Unit XIII Muaro Jambi, which is a KTH fostered by the Apis mellifera honey cultivation business. The aim of this research is to describe the production of honey cultivation and to analyze the amount of acceptance and income from honey cultivation. Data regarding the description of production, revenue costs, and total income were obtained through interviews with the help of questionnaires. Respondents' assessment used saturated or census sampling where all members of the population were sampled. The data analysis used is acceptance analysis followed by the calculation of the R/C ratio and income analysis followed by the calculation of the B/C ratio, price BEP and production BEP. The results of the study show an overview of the production of Apis mellifera honey cultivation at KTH Madu Sejahtera that honey management is carried out jointly in the form of Forest Farmers Groups and harvesting activities are carried out in the last one year period 4 times and there are constraints and factors that hinder honey production activities so that productivity is hampered . The total revenue generated was Rp. 10,325,000 and the income generated was Rp. 6,481,200 in the last one year's harvest period. So that the results of the R/C ratio analysis show a value of 2.69, which means that the business is said to be feasible because the R/C ratio value is > 1 and the B/C analysis shows a value of 1.24, which means that the business is said to be profitable because the ratio value B/C > 1.
