Abstract

ABSTRACT The rice stem borer is one of the main rice pests in Indonesia, including in Jambi Province. This pest attacks from the seedbed to the generative phase and can cause up to 90% yield loss. One of the control techniques that can be used is biological control using egg parasitoids. Egg parasitoids are considered very effective because they prevent eggs from developing into larvae that can damage plants. The purpose of this study was to examine the diversity of species and parasitization levels of egg parasitoids associated with the yellow rice stem borer in Senaning Village, Pemayung District, Batanghari Regency. This research was conducted on farmers' rice fields in Senaning Village, Pemayung District, Batanghari Regency from July to October 2022. Sampling was carried out 10 times using the purposive sampling method, namely at plant ages 6, 7, 12 and 14 days after sowing (hss), vegetative phase (7, 14, 23, and 32 days after planting) and generative phase (54 and 60 days after planting). Groups of eggs found in the field were reared in the Plant Pest Laboratory until they hatched into larvae or parasitoid imago emergedThe results showed that the types of parasitoids associated with the yellow rice stem borer in Senaning Village, Pemayung District, Batanghari Regency were Tetrastichus schoenobii and Telenomus rowani with parasitization rates of 86.94% and 14.13% respectively. Keywords : Rice stem borer, egg parasitoid, level of parasitization,Tetrastichus schoenobii, Telenomus rowani INTISARI Penggerek batang padi merupakan salah satu hama utama tanaman padi di Indonesia termasuk di Provinsi Jambi.
