Abstract
Kata Kunci : Kontrol Diri, Media E-Commerce, Perilaku Impulsive Buying Background: Online shopping activities are activities that are commonly carried out by the community, including students in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences University of Jambi. The ease of shopping in e-commerce media also makes students often shop spontaneously without planning, which is called impulsive buying. This impulsive shopping tendency can be reduced if students have a good attitude toward self-control. Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the correlation between self-control and impulsive buying behavior through e-commerce media among students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Jambi. Methods: This research have used quantitative methods with a correlational approach. The population in this research was studied at FKIK students with 100 students as subjects. The technique that has been used in this research is purposive sampling. Data collection has been done through google forms and distributing questionnaires. Data analysis has been analyzed with descriptive statistics by researcher have used JASP 0.14.1 application. Results: Based on the results of the Pearson correlation test, a significance value of r = -0.733 and p 0.001 (p-value 0.05) was obtained, meaning that there is a significant correlation with the high category and the direction of the relationship is negative. Conclusion and Suggestions: There is a correlation between self-control variables and impulsive buying variables. The higher the student's self-control, the lower the impulsive buying behavior and vice versa. Key words: Self-Control, E-Commerce Media, Impulsive Buying Behavior
