Keywords: Curiosity, Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) This research is based on the fact that the curiosity of the students in grade V SD Iqro Muara Bulian is still less with the observation result of 42.5% where the students can not answer the questions given by the teacher and the students do not dare to ask the teacher about the material they do not even listen to the teacher's explanation seriously, reading a learning book on learning materials and students do not respond well to learning, even students drawing on their notebooks when teachers explain. This study aims to increase the curiosity of the students through the model of prolem based learning (pbl) in the class V SD Iqra Muara Bulian academic year 2017/2018. This research is a class action research (PTK) consisting of 2 cycles, where the data taken in the form of observation data through observation sheet to increase students' curiosity and teacher observation sheet. This research is carried out with 4 stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation, Reflection. at the time of teaching and learning process learning activities apply problem based learning model (pbl). The results of this study indicate the application of problem based learning model (pbl) can increase the curiosity of students in grade V SD Iqro Muara Bulian. This research was conducted at SD Iqro Muara Bulian in March and April 2018. The research data was obtained by observation (as main data) and documentation (as supporting data). after the data were collected through observation, the data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by the percentage formula. Based on the students' curiosity observation sheet showed an increase, with the result of percentage of cycle 1 of 60.2% with the category good enough, in the second cycle of 75.3% with good category.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that increasing the curiosity of the students through the model of problem based learning (pbl) in SD Iqro Muara Bulian can be improved after applied problem based learning model (pbl).
