Abstract
The community service has been carried out at junior high school 1 Muaro Jambi, this service has been carried out for science teachers. From the results of interviews with the teacher, optical learning has not been taught through practicum and experiments, due to various factors that are not supported so that physical experiments are often not carried out. To understand a good concept, in addition to studying theory, it must also be accompanied by a practicum to order to understand the concept well and also increase student interest in learning. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to introduce optical instruments and finally do a practicum so that teachers can be more skilled and have a broad repertoire of teaching optical materials. Based on the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be said that these activities are very much needed for the school, especially at junior high school 1 Muaro Jambi, with this service activity, science teachers are greatly helped by the introduction of optical instruments and get inspiration for teachers to do practical tools optical instrument in the school
