Abstract
Kelapa sawit dapat diserang oleh berbagai hama dan penyakit tanaman sejak di pembibitan hingga di kebun pertanaman. Salah satu hama utama pada kelapa sawit adalah hama kumbang tanduk. Tujuan penelitian adalah terciptanya hasil modifikasi alat ferolight trap dengan perlakuan yang berbeda pada warna cahaya dan perlakuan arah penempatan alat. Untuk mengetahui hasil kinerja modifikasi alat ferolight trap di perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan september 2022 di perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Jelatang, Kecamatan Pamenang, Kabupaten Merangin, Jambi. Perancangan desain modifikasi alat ferotrap perangkap hama kumbang tanduk pada perkebunan kelapa sawit menggunakan metode perancangan VDI 2221 yang dikembangkan dan dibuat oleh phal and beitz (2007). Menggunakan perlakuan warna cahaya yang berbeda putih, merah, hijau, dan kuning dan perlakuan arah penempatan alat timur, barat, selatan dan utara. Oil palm can be attacked by various pests and plant diseases from the nursery to the plantations. One of the main pests in oil palm is the horn beetle. The aim of the research was to create modified ferrolight traps with different treatments for the color of the light and the direction of placement of the tools. To find out the performance results of modifications to the ferrolight trap tool in oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in September 2022 at an oil palm plantation in Jelatang Village, Pamenang District, Merangin Regency, Jambi. The modified design of the ferrotrap tool to trap horn beetles in oil palm plantations uses the VDI 2221 design method developed and made by Phal and Beitz (2007). Using different light color treatments white, red, green, and yellow and the treatment of east, west, south and north placement tools.
