Abstract

Bulian Km 15, Jaluko, Muara Jambi, Jambi Received: Accepted: Published: Abstrack This study aims to develop a virtual laboratory based guided inquiry on viscosity experiments and know the students' perceptions of the products developed. This research is a research and development using 4D model consisting of several stages that is define, disgn, develop, dessiminate. The subjects of this study are material experts, media experts, and physics education students of Jambi University. The data collection instrument consists of: a preliminary study questionnaire, an observation sheet, a validation questionnaire and a student perception questionnaire. Qualitative data analysis technique is done descriptively and quantitative data is done by descriptive statistic. The resulting product is a Vir-lab in the form of an e-book with 3D form in the exe program. Activities in Vir-lab are prepared based on guided inquiry syntax. Product content consists of objectives, problem formulation, theory, hypothesis, tutorial vidio, vir-lab, trial data, data analysis, results and conclusions. The benefits of Vir-lab products include practicum guides, tutorial tutorials, vir-labs, and students can create reports and fill out data analysis, results, and conclusions, and can be printed and sent via e-mail directly. The results of validation of material experts by 45 and 66 media experts are categorized very well, and the results of trials from the perception of students get a score of 60.65 are categorized strongly agree to use. . Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan virtual laboratory berbasis inquiry terbimbing pada percobaan viskositas dan mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang menggunakan model 4D yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu define, disgn, develop, dessiminate. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu ahli materi, ahli media, dan mahasiswa pendidikan fisika Universitas Jambi. Instrument pengumpulan data terdiri dari: angket studi pendahuluan, lembar observasi, angket validasi dan angket persepsi mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dilakukan secara deskriptif dan data kuantitatif dilakukan secara statistik deskriptif. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa Vir-lab berbentuk e-book dengan bentuk 3D dalam program exe. Kegiatan dalam Vir-lab disusun berdasarkan sintak inquiry terbimbing. Isi produk terdiri dari tujuan, rumusan masalah, teori, hipotesis, vidio tutorial, vir-lab, data percobaan, analisis data, hasil dan kesimpulan. Keunggulan produk Vir-lab mencakup penuntun praktikum, vidio tutorial, vir-lab, dan mahasiswa dapat membuat laporan dan mengisi analisis data, hasil, dan kesimpulan, serta dapat di print dan dikirim melalui e-mail secara langsung. Hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 45 dan ahli media 66 yang dikategorikan sangat baik, dan hasil uji coba dari persepsi mahasiswa memperoleh skor 60,65 yang dikategorikan sangat setuju untuk di gunakan. © 2013 jurusan Fisika FMIPA UNNES Semarang Key words: Vir-lab, guided inquiry, viscosity
