Skripsi. Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Jurusan Ilmu Pendidikan, FKIP Universitas Jambi, Pembimbing: (I) Drs. Andi Suhandi, S.Pd, M.Pd.I dan (II) Agung Rimba Kurniawan, S.Pd, M.Pd. This stufi is based on the fact that the low ability to express students opinions during the learning process in the class IV A SDN 55/I Sridadi. Based on the results of the observations made, the ability to express the opinion of students is still lacking in the class. When the teacher asks the students to express their opinions the students reply with difficult language and complicated language, the students reply randomly, the students answered with stammering, stuents fear to express opinions, one who is able express his opinions correctly. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to express the opinions of students by using cooperative learning model type TGT on the theme Daerah Tepat Tianggalku in grade IV A SDN 55/I Sridadi. This study is classroom action research consisting of two cycles with two meeting each. Data taken that is in the form of observation result trough observation ability to express students opinion and observation result of RPP implementation using model TGT. This research is carried out with four stage: preparation stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection. KeyWords: Ability to express opinions, Cooperative learning model TGT
