Abstract
The purpose of this quantitative research to find out whether or not there is correlation between students' learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, individual, group) and motivations in online learning English subject. Participants of this research from VIIIth grade students of SMP N 24 Kota Jambi took part in this research. In collecting data, researchers used survey method by giving questionnaire. Then in data analysis using descriptive statistics to analyze two variables: learning styles and motivation with use product pearson moment, in SPSS 25 (Statistical Product for Service Solution). The results of this research show there is a positive correlation between learning style (X) and Motivation (Y), it also can be seen that sig. (2-tailed) is 0,000 < 0,05 means that there is a positive correlation. Furthermore, the value of r (= 0.633) correlation is included in the strong positive category. It means that Ha is accepted. With the results that the visual learning style has a correlation with students' motivation including the strong category, and the tactile learning style has no correlation with students' motivation includes to the strong category with student learning motivation. So, it is clear to say that learning style and motivation in online learning have correlation on students VIIIth grade SMP Ni 24 Kota Jambi in online learning English. vi
