Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan daun sengon sebagai sumber hijauan condensed tannin terhadap nilai yield grade dan luas uratdaging mata rusuk pada kambing Peranakan Etawah. Penelitian ini menggunakan ternak kambing peranakan etawah pejantan yang berumur ±8-12 bulan, sebanyak 16 ekor. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah rumput Kolonjono dan Konsentrat 60 : 40 % dengan kandungan protein 13% dan TDN 65%. Konsentrat terdiri dari dedak 58%, Jagung giling 25%, Bungkil kedele 6%, Bungkil kelapa 9%, Mineral mix 1% dan Garam 1%. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok bobot badan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu R0 = 60% RK(Rumput Kolonjono) + 0% TDS (Tepung Daun Sengon) + 40% K (Konsentrat), R1 = 50% RK + 10% TDS + 40% K, R2 = 40% RK +20% TDS + 40% K, R3 = 30% RK + 30% TDS + 40% K. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu Konsumsi Bahan Kering (KBK), Bobot Potong, Bobot Karkas, Yield Grade dan Luas Urat Daging Mata Rusuk. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis menggunakan sidik ragam ( ANOVA), bila terdapat pengaruh yang nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efek penggunaan TDS sampai level 30% nyata (p<0,05) berpengaruh terhadap KBK, namun tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap Bobot potong, Bobot karkas,Yield grade dan Luas udamaru. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa tepung daun sengon hingga 30% dapat digunakan sebagai sumber condensed tannin dalam pakan dan memberikan efek positip terhadap yield grade dan luas urat daging mata rusuk kambing PE jantan. This study aims to determine the use of sengon leaves as a source forage condensed tannin on yield grade and rib eye vein area in Peranakan Etawah goats. This study uses goats 16 male etawah breeds aged ± 8-12 months. Material the feed used is Kolonjono grass and concentrate 60: 40% with 13% protein content and 65% TDN. The concentrate consists of 58% bran, corn milled 25%, Soybean meal 6%, Coconut meal 9%, Mineral mix 1% and Salt 1%. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of of 4 treatments and 4 groups of body weight. The treatment given is R0 = 60% RK(Kolonjono Grass) + 0% TDS (Sengon Leaf Flour) + 40% K (Concentrate), R1 = 50% RK + 10% TDS + 40% K, R2 = 40% RK + 20% TDS + 40% K, R3 = 30% RK + 30% TDS + 40% K. Parameters observed in in this study namely dry matter consumption (KBK), slaughter weight, carcass weight, Yield Grade and Rib Eye Vein Area. The data obtained is then in analysis using variance (ANOVA), if there is a significant effect then proceed with Duncan's Distance Test. The research results show that the effect of using TDS up to the level of 30% significantly (p <0.05) has an effect on CBC, but not significant (P>0.05) on slaughter weight, carcass weight, yield grade and The width of the udamaru. The results of this study concluded that sengon leaf flour to 30% can be used as a source of condensed tannins in feed and gave a positive effect on the yield grade and rib area male PE goat.
