Abstract
Aspal penetrasi 60/70 adalah termasuk aspal penetrasi rendah yang biasa digunakan untuk jalan dengan volume lalu lintas yang tinggi atau sedang serta daerah dengan iklim yang panas. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari aspal penetrasi 60/70 dilakukan penambahan getah gambir. Penggunaan getah gambir ini diharapkan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan kuantitas aspal yang semakin meningkat serta mengatasi kekurangan aspal yang bersifat getas. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penambahan getah gambir terhadap karakteristik aspal penetrasi 60/70. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengujian di laboratorium UPTD Alkal Provinsi Jambi. Variasi penambahan yang digunakan yaitu 25%, 50% dan 75% terhadap berat aspal untuk dilakukan pengujian daktalitas, berat jenis, titik lembek, penetrasi, titik nyala dan titik bakar. Pedoman pengujian dan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu spesifikasi umum bina marga 2018. Hasil pengujian yang didapatkan dengan semakin banyak penambahan karet ban bekas nilai pengujian penetrasi naik, nilai pengujian titik lembek menurun, nilai pengujian titik nyala dan bakar naik, nilai pengujian daktilitas menurun dan nilai pengujian berat jenis mnurun. Variasi 25% tidak memenuhi spesifikasi pengujian titik lembek dengan nilai yang di dapat 46˚C sedangkan variasi 50% dan 75% tidak memenuhi spesifikasi pengujian daktilitas, penetrasi dan titik lembek. Sehingga variasi penambahan getah gambir yang hamper memenuhi spesifikasi bina marga 2018 yaitu variasi penambahan getah gambir 25%. Asphalt penetration 60/70 includes low penetration asphalt which is commonly used for roads with high or medium traffic volumes and areas with hot climates. To improve the quality of 60/70 penetration bitumen, gambir sap was added. The use of gambir sap is expected to be able to meet the demand for increasing quantity of asphalt and overcome the shortage of brittle asphalt. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the addition of gambir sap on the characteristics of 60/70 penetration bitumen. This research was conducted by testing in the UPTD Alkal laboratory, Jambi Province. Variations of the addition used are 25%, 50% and 75% by weight of asphalt to test for ductility, specific gravity, softening point, penetration, flash point and burning point. The test guidelines and data analysis used are the general specifications for Highways 2018. The test results obtained with more and more additions of used tire rubber, the penetration test value increased, the softening point test value decreased, the flash and burn point test values increased, the ductility test value decreased and the value of decreasing specific gravity test. The 25% variation did not meet the specifications for the softening point test with a value obtained at 46˚C while the 50% and 75% variations did not meet the specifications for the ductility, penetration and softening point tests. So that variations in the addition of gambir sap almost meet the 2018 Bina Marga specifications, namely variations in the addition of 25% gambir sap.
