Abstract

Pembangunan hutan tanaman terutama pada HTI merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang sangat penting dalam rehabilitasi lahan hutan produktif. Salah satu pemegang izin usaha pemanfaatan hasil hutan kayu (IUPHHK) yang berada di Provinsi Jambi adalah PT Wirakarya Sakti yang memiliki luas areal kerja ± 290.378 ha. Areal kerja terbagi menjadi 8 unit kelestarian yaitu distrik 1 hingga 8. Acacia crassicarpa tergolong sebagai tanaman dengan siklus panen yang cepat, mempunyai adaptasi yang luas dan tahan terhadap kondisi yang kurang menguntungkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tentang tipe kerusakan pohon dan menganalisis kondisi kesehatan dan tingkat kerusakan setiap kelas umur tegakan Acacia crassicarpa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di distrik 7 PT Wirakarya Sakti yang terletak di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi dan Tanjung Jabung Timur, Provinsi Jambi. Identifikasi kesehatan pohon dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pemantauan kesehatan hutan atau Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) yaitu metode penilaian kesehatan pohon dengan mengelompokkan jenis dan tingkat kerusakan per individu tanaman. teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik sampling dengan intensitas sampling 0,02% dari luasan lokasi penelitian. Jumlah klaster plot yang dibuat yaitu 9 klaster plot dengan masing-masing kelas umur 3 klaster plot yang telah memenuhhi kriteria dari jumlah luasan sampel yang digunakan. Data yang dikumpulkan berupaa diameter pohon, tipe kerusakan, lokasi kerusakan, tingkat keparahan dan kualitas tapak yang dilakukan pengamatan bagian pohon secara langsung pada objek penelitian. Bagian pohon yang diamati yaitu batang dan daun. Hasil Nilai Indeks Kerusakan (NIK) yang diperoleh di distrik 7 PT Wirakarya Sakti yaitu KU1 sebesar 0,88 (sehat) dengan persentase pohon sehat 100%, KU2 sebesar 3,33 (sehat) dengan persentase pohon sehat 73,42% dan kerusakan ringan 26,57%, dan KU3 sebesar 5,18 (kerusakan ringan) dengan persentase pohon sehat 42,06%, kerusakan ringan 54,24% dan kerusakan sedang 3,69%. One of the holders of business permits for the utilization of timber forest products (IUPHHK) in Jambi Province is PT Wirakarya Sakti, which has a working area of ± 290,378 ha. Acacia crassicarpa is classified as a plant with a fast harvest cycle, has wide adaptation and is resistant to unfavorable conditions. This study aims to obtain data on types of tree damage and to analyze the health condition and level of damage for each age class of Acacia crassicarpa stands. This research was conducted in district 7 of PT Wirakarya Sakti which is located in Muaro Jambi and East Tanjung Jabung Regencies, Jambi Province. Identification of tree health is carried out using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method, which is a method of assessing tree health by classifying the type and level of damage per individual plant. The data collection technique uses a sampling technique with a sampling intensity of 0.02% of the area of the research location. The number of plot clusters made was 9 plot clusters with 3 age class plots for each class that met the criteria for the number of sample areas used. The data collected was in the form of tree diameter, type of damage, location of damage, severity and site quality by direct observation of tree parts on the research object. The observed parts of the tree are the stem and leaves. The results of the Damage Index Value (NIK) obtained in district 7 of PT Wirakarya Sakti were KU1 of 0.88 (healthy) with a percentage of healthy trees of 100%, KU2 of 3.33 (healthy) with a percentage of healthy trees of 73.42% and light damage 26.57%, and KU3 of 5.18 (light damage) with the percentage of healthy trees 42.06%, 54.24% light damage and 3.69% moderate damage.
