Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya saing saing ekspor besi dan baja Indonesia di pasar dunia tahun 2001-2021 dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi daya saing ekspor besi dan baja Indonesia di pasar dunia pada periode tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) untuk mengetahui daya saing ekspor besi dan baja indonesia tahun 2001-2021 di pasar dunia, dan dibantu alat analisis program Eviews 12.0 untuk melakukan Regresi Linear Berganda dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Dari hasil perhitungan dengan metode RCA diketahui bahwa industri besi dan baja Indonesia tahun 2001-2021 berdaya saing kuat dengan rata-rata indeks RCA 1,05 satuan. Namun pada tahun 2001-2016 daya saingnya cenderung lemah dan menguat sejak tahun 2017-2021. Hasil dari regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa variabel produksi dan FDI berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya saing ekspor besi dan baja tahun 2001-2021. Sedangkan variabel harga ekspor dan nilai tukar tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap daya saing ekspor besi dan baja Indonesia di pasar dunia tahun 2001-2021. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the competitiveness of Indonesian iron and steel exports in the world market in 2001-2021 and to determine the factors that affect the competitiveness of Indonesian iron and steel exports in the world market in that period. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method with Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis to determine the competitiveness of Indonesian iron and steel exports in the world market in 2001-2021, and assisted by the Eviews 12.0 program analysis tool to carry out Multiple Linear Regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. From the results of calculations using the RCA method, it is known that the Indonesian iron and steel industry in 2001-2021 was strongly competitive with an average RCA index of 1.05 units. However, in 2001-2016 its competitiveness tended to be weak and strengthened from 2017-2021. The results of multiple linear regression show that the production and FDI variables have a significant effect on the competitiveness of iron and steel exports in 2001-2021. Meanwhile, the variables of export prices and exchange rates have no significant effect on the competitiveness of Indonesia's iron and steel exports in the world market in 2001-2021.
