Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) adalah jenis virus yang menginfeksi sel darah putih dalam tubuh manusia yang mengakibatkan penurunan sistem kekebalan tubuh. Penderita yang mengidap HIV menyebabkan penyakit AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) yang merupakan kumpulan gejala penyakit yang disebabkan retrovirus yang menyerang sistem kekebalan tubuh. Lelaki Seks Lelaki (LSL) menjadi salah satu kelompok berisiko terhadap kejadian HIV. Penggunaan kondom, peran seksual, jumlah pasangan seksual dan penggunaan NAPZA suntik menjadi faktor risiko yang menyebabkan seorang LSL terinfeksi virus HIV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko kejadian HIV pada LSL di Yayasan Galatea Kota Medan Tahun 2022. Metode : Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan case control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh LSL yang terdata di Yayasan Galatea Kota Medan tahun 2022 dengan jumlah sempel sebanyak 66 responden, yang mana 33 sempel kasus dan 33 sempel kontrol dengan teknik purposive sampling dan uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu Chi-Squere. Hasil : Dari penelitian ini ditemukan terdapat 3 variabel yang memiliki hubungan bermakna dan 1 variabel yang tidak berhubungan. Variabel yang berhubungan dengan kejadian HIV adalah hasil penggunaan kondom, jumlah pasangan seksual, dan penggunaan NAPZA suntik berulang. Sedangkan variabel yang tidak berhubungan yaitu peran seksual. Kesimpulan : Penggunaan NAPZA suntik berulang menjadi faktor risiko yang dominan terhadap kejadian HIV pada LSL di Yayasan Galatea Kota Medan tahun 2023. Sosialisasi mengenai bahaya Narkoba Suntik pada LSL sebaiknya dilakukan serta pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin pada LSL. Kata Kunci : HIV, LSL, Kondom, NAPZA Suntik, Peran Seksual. ABSTRACT Bacground : Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a type of virus that infects white blood cells in the human body which causes a decrease in the immune system. Patients with HIV cause AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) which is a collection of disease symptoms caused by retroviruses that attack the immune system. Men who have sex with men (MSM) are one of the risk groups for the incidence of HIV. Condom use, sexual roles, number of sexual partners and use of drug injections are risk factors that cause MSM to become infected with the HIV virus. This study aims to determine the risk factors for HIV incidence in MSM at the Galatea Foundation, Medan City in 2022. Methods : The type of research used is quantitative with a case control approach. The population in this study were all MSM recorded at the Galatea Foundation, Medan City in 2022 with a total sample of 66 respondents, of which 33 case samples and 33 control samples using a purposive sampling technique and the statistical test used was the Chi-Squere. Results : From this study it was found that there were 3 variables that had a significant relationship and 1 variable that was not related. Variables related to the incidence of HIV are the result of condom use, number of sexual partners, and repeated injecting drug use. While the variable that is not related is sexual role. Conclusion : Repeated injecting drug use is the dominant risk factor for HIV incidence in MSM at the Galatea Foundation, Medan City in 2023. Socialization regarding the dangers of injecting drugs to MSM should be carried out as well as regular health checks for MSM. Keywords : HIV, MSM, Condoms, Injecting Drugs, Sexual Roles.
