Abstract

ABSTRACT Rama Dwi Putra: Implementation of Public Services in Making Death Certificates at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registry Service. Deed is one of the public service products in the form of an important population administration process and must be owned by every citizen living in Indonesia. Deed is a writing that is deliberately made to be used as evidence of an event and signed by the party who made it. There are two types of certificates that must be fulfilled by residents when they first appear in the world and the last time they are in the world (died), namely Birth Certificates and Death Certificates. This study uses a qualitative method by focusing on the Implementation of Public Services in Making Death Certificates at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registry Service. From the research results, it was obtained that the implementation of public services seen from the role of Disdukcapil as an implementer and communicator has been going well, this is the existence of support in the field of budgeting and adequate policies from leadership elements at the Population and Civil Registration Service and other stakeholders in supporting the implementation of population administration services. as well as the existence of a high commitment from the staff of the Department of Population and Civil Registration in providing population administration services. Public services in Disdukcapil, Jambi City, are still influenced by factors that have not yet optimally implemented population administration services for the community, lack of facilities and infrastructure, rampant brokering, not yet optimal coordination between related agencies/work units in managing population data such as with sub-districts and sub-districts. the weak socialization and application of online-based services is due to a shortage of IT-based human resources and not yet fully able to utilize the information technology provided regarding online population administration registration through the SIPADUKO application that has been provided.
