Abstract

ABSTRACT The increase in GRDP in Jambi Province cannot be separated from the role of the government which has declared Jambi Province as a Tourism Region. Before being proclaimed as a tourist area, Jambi Province already had tourist attractions like it is today. Until now the tourism sector is still one of the economic sources for the people of Jambi Province. This study aims to 1) To find out and analyze the development of the Tourism Sector GRDP, population, labor productivity, number of tourists, number of hotel rooms, and investment in the tourism sector in Jambi Province in 2000 – 2021. 2) To find out the effect of population, productivity workforce, number of tourists, number of hotel rooms, and investment in the tourism sector on the GRDP of the tourism sector in Jambi Province in 2000-2021. By using the dependent variable GRDP in the Tourism Sector, with the results of the regression using multiple linear regression it is proven that all independent variables are: population, labor productivity, number of tourists, number of hotel rooms, and investment in the tourism sector.
