Abstract
ABSTRAK Hairiah, Siti Hodijah (2023). Analisis Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Pada Siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV : Tesis, Proram Studi Magister Pendidikan Dasar, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Membaca, Membaca Permulaan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai kemampauan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV, faktor-faktor yang menjadi hambatan dalam membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SDN No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV, dan solusi yang diambil guru terhadap hambatan siswa dalam membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SDN No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipan penelitiannya yaitu guru kelas II, peserta didik kelas II dan orang tua peserta didik kelas II yang mengalami hambatan dalam membaca permulaan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Miles and Huberman yaitu : reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1). Kemampuan membaca ke lima siswa yang diamati berada pada taraf terbata-bata, dikarenakan siswa belum mengenal banyak huruf, sehingga tidak bisa melafalkan huruf, suku kata, kata dan kalimat dengan benar hal ini berdamapak pada pengucapan intonasi yang belum tepat. siswa juga sulit membaca huruf diagraf ( ng, kh, sy, ny), dan huruf diftong (ai, au,ei dan oi) 2). Faktor yang menjadi hambatan membaca permulaan yaitu kurangnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar, tidak ditemukannya media pembelajaran yang dapat menarik minat siswa seperti kartu huruf,kartu kata dan media penunjang laiannya yang mendukung, kurangnya perhatian dari orang tua dan pendidikan prasekolah 3). Solusi yang diambil guru terhadap hambatan siswa dalam membaca permulaan: mengulang-ulang kata/kalimat yang belum bisa sampai bisa, melakukan pembiasaan membaca 15 menit di awal pembelajaran, melakukan kegiatan membaca pada jam tambahan setelah pulang sekolah selama 30 menit, bimbingan belajar atas inisiatif orang tua Dari hasil penelitian ini kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Negeri No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV masih ada 5 orang siswa yang kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan, saran yang bisa diberikan untuk guru hendaknya guru lebih meningkatkan cara mengajar terutama strategi dan metode agar siswa cepet lancar membaca, dan untuk siswa teruslah giat berlatih membaca disekolah maupun dirumah agar bisa lancar membaca seperti siswa yang lain. Keywords: Reading Ability, Beginning Reading This study aims to explain the initial reading ability of grade II students at Elementary School No.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV, the factors that become obstacles in beginning reading for grade II students at Elementary School.145/VII Lubuk Resam IV, and the solutions taken by the teacher on students' obstacles in reading beginning class II students of Elementary School 145/VII Deep Down IV. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The research participants were class II teachers, class II students and parents of class II students who experienced difficulties in beginning reading. Research data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method uses the model developed by Miles and Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show 1). The reading ability of the five students observed was at an stuttering level, because students did not know many letters, so they could not pronounce letters, syllables, words and sentences correctly, this resulted in incorrect intonation. students also have difficulty reading diagraph letters (ng, kh, sy, ny), and diphthong letters (ai, au, ei and oi) 2). Factors that become barriers to beginning reading are the lack of student motivation in learning, the absence of learning media that can attract students' interest such as letter cards, word cards and other supportive media, lack of attention from parents and preschool education 3). Solutions taken by the teacher to students' obstacles in beginning reading: repeating words/sentences that cannot be reached, doing 15-minute reading habits at the beginning of learning, carrying out reading activities at extra hours after school for 30 minutes, tutoring on the initiative of other people old From the results of this study the initial reading ability of class II students at Elemtary School 145/VII Lubuk Resam IV is quite good, but there are still 5 students who have difficulty reading beginning, suggestions that can be given to teachers should be that the teacher should improve teaching methods, especially strategies and methods for students to read fluently quickly, and for students to continue to actively practice reading at school and at home so they can read fluently like other students.
