Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the community related to the use of waste-based alternative energy sources. This research is an analytical survey research with a cross sectional approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 30 samples. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. From the results of the chi-square test, there is a meaningful relationship between respondents' conservation knowledge and respondents' conservation attitudes with a p-value of 0.000 where the p-value is smaller than the alpha value (p<0.05), Respondents' conservation knowledge with respondents' conservation behavior showed a meaningless relationship with a p-value of 0.234 where the p-value was greater than the alpha value (P>0.05) and respondents' conservation attitudes with respondents' conservation behavior showed a meaningful relationship with a p-value of 0.023 where the p-value was smaller than the alpha value (P<0.05). From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between conservation knowledge and conservation attitudes, there is no meaningful relationship between conservation knowledge and conservation behavior and there is a meaningful relationship between conservation attitudes and conservation behavior towards the use of waste-based alternative energy sources. This is because the smaller the p-value, the more meaningful the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of community energy conservation related to the use of waste-based alternative energy sources.
