Abstract
This research aims to know about teachers’ perception towards English e-learning during covid-19 pandemic and how the teachers’ face the obstacles during teaching English e-learning during covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 14 Jambi City Academic Year 2021/2022. Respondents in this research were 4 English Teachers. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research was collected by face-to-face interview. Overall, all the participants perceptions on English e-learning were a useful and flexible learning process to increase the interest of the students in English course. But, the role of the parents also needed in E-learning process. The participants also have their own obstacles to face English E-learning like lack of facilities for online learnig activities, lack of knowledge of techonology, and they have any strategy to face it. From this research, it can be concluded that not all the participants have a positive perception toward English e- learning because e-learning still have a weakness for learning process and they have some strategy to face the obstacles in e-learning process such as providing any variation of learning methods so that students are interest and asking for help from the role of parents in supervising online learning.
