Abstract

Dinda Agnes Yolanda. 2023. Developing Digital Flipbook of Teaching Reading Strategies in Reading Comprehension for Student Teacher in Universitas Jambi. Jambi: Universitas Jambi. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Jambi in Academic Year 2022/2023. The first supervisor is Dr. Fortunasari, S.S., M.A. The second supervisor is Melati, S.Pd., M.CC. This study is aimed to develop a digital flipbook prototype with a multimedia approach in an attempt to ease student teachers to understand some teaching reading strategies and to evaluate its appropriateness as an alternative learning material for the students. The developmental research was used in this study as the research design. In development procedure divided into two phases, there are design phase and developmental phase. Based on data from in design phase (need analysis, document analysis and library research), the researcher decide some parts to put in the digital flipbook that contain brief explanation about the reading parts, learning objectives, and teaching procedures The conclusion that can be drawn is that the product developed through this research is “Good”. The result of this study can also be used as reference for both lecturer and students, and also further researcher in finding out more about developing digital flipbook especially in teaching English.
