H Yundi Fitrah, M. Hum. Ph.D., (II) Dra. Rasdawita, M.M. Kata Kunci: Semantik, makna denotasi dan konotasi, puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrisikan makna denotasi dan makna konotasi pada lima belas puisi dalam antologi puisi Suara Dari Balik Kabut karya Wiyatmi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis pendekatan deskriptif. Data berupa kata, kalimat, bait, dan baris puisi. Sumber data adalah buku antologi puisi Suara Dari Balik Kabut karya Wiyatmi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terdapat tiga tahapan yaitu: reduksi data, menyadikan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa makna denotasi dan makna konotasi pada lima belas puisi dalam antologi puisi Suara Dari Balik Kabut karya Wiyatmi ialah sebanyak 26 data makna denotasi dan 32 data makna konotasi. Puisi yang mengandung makna denotasi sebanyak empat belas puisi dan puisi yang mengandung makan konotasi sebnyak lima belas puisi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyair dalam ke lima belas puisinya lebih banyak menggunakan makna konotasi dibandingkan makna denotasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengerti dan paham mengenai makna yang terdapat dalam puisi. Penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu referensi mengulas atau memberi pemaknaan mengenai karya sastra khususnya pada puisi. Kusuma, Diah Ayu. 2023. This study aims to describe the denotative and connotative meanings of fifteen poems in Wiyatmi's poetry anthology Suara Dari Behind the Mist. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data are in the form of words, sentences, stanzas, and lines of poetry. The data source is the poetry anthology book Suara Dari Behind the Mist by Wiyatmi. The data analysis technique in this study consisted of three stages: data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the denotative and connotative meanings of the fifteen poems in Wiyatmi's anthology of the poem Suara Dari Behind the Mist are 26 data of denotative meanings and 32 data of connotative meanings. There are fourteen poems containing denotative meanings and fifteen poems containing connotations. The results of this study indicate that the poets in their fifteen poems use more connotative meanings than denotative meanings. From the results of this study it is suggested that future researchers are expected to be able to understand and understand the meaning contained in poetry. This research can be used as a reference to review or give meaning to literary works, especially poetry.
