Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai sosial pada tradisi Buka Rebo. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah apa saja nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung di dalam tradisi Buka Rebo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif etnografi dan metode analisis isi. Sumber data penelitian yang digunakan terbagi menjadi dua, yakni sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Sumber data primer di dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari hasil wawancara oleh narasumber dari Danau Sipin yang mengetahui tentang tradisi Buka Rebo tersebut. Sumber data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori atau artikel-artikel yang relevan terhadap nilai-nilai sosial pada tradisi Buka Rebo. Hasil dari penelitian ini dalam tradisi Buka Rebo di Danau Sipin Kota Jambi ialah terdapat tiga sub nilai- nilai sosial, yakni nilai kasih saying, nilai tanggung jawab, dan nilai keselarasan hidup. Kasih sayang terdiri dari: a) pengabdian, (b) tolong menolong, (c) kekeluargaan, (d) kesetiaan, dan (e) kepedulian. Tanggung jawab terdiri dari; (a) nilai rasa memiliki, (b) disiplin, dan (c) empati, dan yang terakhir Keserasian Hidup yang terdiri dari; (a) nilai keadilan, (b) toleransi, (c) kerja sama, dan (d) demokrasi. Kata Kunci: Nilai-Nilai Sosial, Tradisi Buka Rebo. Abstract: This study aims to describe social values in the Buka Rebo tradition. The formulation of the problem in this study is what are the social values contained in the Buka Rebo tradition. This research uses a qualitative ethnographic approach and content analysis method. The research data sources used are divided into two, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The primary data source in this study comes from interviews with sources from Lake Sipin who know about the Buka Rebo tradition. Secondary data sources used in this research are theories or articles that are relevant to social values in the Buka Rebo tradition.The results of this study in the Buka Rebo tradition at Lake Sipin, Jambi City, are that there are three sub-social values, namely the value of compassion, the value of responsibility, and the value of harmony in life. Affection consists of: a) devotion, (b) helping, (c) kinship, (d) loyalty, and (e) caring. Responsibilities consist of; (a) the value of belonging, (b) discipline, and (c) empathy, and finally the harmony of life which consists of (a) the value of justice, (b) tolerance, (c) cooperation, and (d) democracy.
