Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus (DM) adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan yang mempunyai dampak pada produktivitas sehingga dapat menurunkan sumber daya manusia. Daun ekor naga sering dimanfaatkan dalam pengobatan rematik, kanker, menurunkan lemak, anti hipertensi, terapi stroke, batuk, patah tulang, paralisis, dan penawar racun. Penelitian terdahulu mengenai pengujian antidiabetes daun ekor naga sudah dilakukan tetapi masih berupa ekstrak sehingga perlu dilakukan proses pemisahan melalui proses ekstraksi cair-cair. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antidiabetes ekstrak butanol daun ekor naga hasil ekstraksi cair-cair terhadap mencit yang diinduksi aloksan dan untuk melihat dosis terbaik ekstrak butanol daun ekor naga hasil ekstraksi cair-cair pada aktivitas antidiabetes. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental laboratorium menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan post test group design melalui 6 perlakuan yaitu kelompok normal, kontrol positif (glibenklamid), kontrol negatif (Na-CMC 0,5%), perlakuan 1 (125 mg/kgBB), perlakuan 2 (250 mg/kgBB), dan perlakuan 3 (500 mg/kgBB). Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar gula darah dan berat badan hewan uji. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan One Way Anova yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ekstrak butanol daun ekor naga hasil ekstraksi cair-cair memiliki efek penurunan paling tinggi terdapat pada kelompok perlakuan 3 (500mg/kgBB) dengan persentase penurunan kadar gula darah yaitu 47,99%. Kesimpulan: Pemberian variasi dosis esktrak butanol daun ekor naga yang berbeda menimbulkan efek yang berbeda dengan persentase penurunan paling tinggi terdapat pada kelompok perlakuan 3 (500mg/kgBB) dengan persentase penurunan kadar gula darah yaitu 47,99%. ABSTRACT Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a health problem that has an impact on productivity so that it can reduce human resources. Dragon's tail leaves are often used in the treatment of rheumatism, cancer, lowering fat, anti-hypertension, stroke therapy, coughs, broken bones, paralysis, and antidote. Previous research on dragon tail leaf anti-diabetic testing has been carried out but it is still in the form of an extract so it is necessary to carry out a separation process through a liquid-liquid extraction process. The purpose of this study was to determine the antidiabetic activity of butanol extract of dragon's tail leaf from liquid-liquid extraction against alloxan-induced mice and to see the best dose of butanol extract from dragon's tail leaves as a result of liquid-liquid extraction on anti-diabetic activity. Methods: This is a laboratory experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD) and post test group design through 6 treatments, namely the normal group, positive control (glibenclamide), negative control (0.5% Na-CMC), treatment 1 (125 mg/day). kgBB), treatment 2 (250 mg/kgBB), and treatment 3 (500 mg/kgBB). Parameters observed were blood sugar levels and body weight of the test animals. The results obtained were analyzed using One Way Anova followed by Duncan's test. Results: This study showed that the butanol extract of dragon tail leaves as a result of liquid-liquid extraction had the highest reducing effect in treatment group 3 (500 mg/kg BW) with a decrease in blood sugar levels of 47.99%. Conclusion: Giving different doses of dragon tail butanol extract causes different effects with the highest percentage reduction in treatment group 3 (500 mg/kg BW) with a decrease in blood sugar levels of 47.99%.
