Abstract
Sengon solomon dengan nama latin yaitu Falcataria moluccana ((Miq.) Barneby & Grime merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman dengan suku Fabaceae yang memiliki pertumbuhan yang cepat (fast growing). Tanaman sengon mudah beradaptasi terhadap lingkungan dan berbagai jenis tanah serta karakteristik silvikultur yang bagus. sengon merupakan tanaman yang paling direkomendasikan di areal reklamasi tambang batubara karena sangat mudah beradaptasi terhadap lingkungan. Penambangan batubara dengan sistem terbuka akan menyebabkan lahan terdegredasi seperti penurunan sifat fisik, kimia, biologi tanah hal ini mengakibatkan terganggunya pertumbuhan tanaman. Karakteristik tanah bekas tambang batubara yang paling menonjol adalah berkurangnya kandungan bahan organik akibat pengupasan lapisan tanah bagian atas (top soil). Tanah bekas tambang batubara di PT. Nan Riang memiliki kandungan C-organik sangat rendah sampai rendah (0,08%- 1,58%). Melihat kandungan bahan organik yang rendah diatas perlu dilakukan perbaikan media tanam, yaitu dengan pemberian bahan organik. Salah satu pembenah tanah organik alami yang bisa digunakan dan memiliki potensi yang tinggi karena ketersediaannya cukup besar adalah limbah sawit kelapa sawit yaitu Solid Decanter. Solid Decanter mengandung unsur hara dan zat organik yang tinggi, hasil analisis Kompos Solid Decanter yang sudah dilakukan diawal penelitian menunjukan bahwa pH 8,7, C-organik 34,78% dan N-total 1,5%. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Areal konsesi pertambangan batubara PT. Nan Riang yang berlokasi di Desa Ampelu Mudo, Kecamatan Muaro Tembesi, Kabupaten Batanghari, Provinsi Jambi. Lama penelitian ini selama 4 bulan dimulai dari bulan Juli 2022 sampai bulan November 2022. Adapun bahan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain bibit tanaman sengon solomon umur ± 4 bulan yang diperoleh dari pembibitan PT. Nan Riang, limbah padat solid decanter yang diperoleh dari PT. Angso Duo Sawit, pupuk KCl, SP36 dan kapur Dolomit. Alat yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah ajir, cangkul, dodos, meteran, jangka sorong, alat tulis, penakar curah hujan secara manual, termohygrometer, alat dokumentasi dan lain- lain. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), terdapat 7 perlakuan, perlakuan di diulang 4 kali, sehingga terdapat 28 petak percobaan, setiap petaknya terdapat 4 tanaman sekaligus menjadi tanaman sampel dan jumlah tanaman yang akan digunakan sebanyak 112 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tanaman sengon solomon (Paraserienthes falcatariasubsp Solomonensis) memiliki respon yang nyata terhadap pemberian kompos solid decanter. Pemberian kompos solid decanter 1.5 kg (S3) per lubang tanam merupakan perlakuan terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi, diameter, jumlah daun, berat kering tajuk, dan berat kering akar. Sengon solomon with the Latin name, namely Falcataria moluccana ((Miq.) Barneby & Grime, is a type of plant belonging to the Fabaceae tribe that has fast growing. Sengon plants are easily adaptable to the environment and various types of soil as well as good silvicultural characteristics. Sengon is the most recommended plant in the reclamation area of coal mines because it is very adaptable to the environment. Coal mining with an open system will cause land degradation such as a decrease in the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, this will disrupt plant growth. The most prominent characteristic of ex-coal mining soil is the reduced organic matter content due to stripping of the top soil layer. Former coal mining land at PT. Nan Riang has a very low to low C-organic content (0.08% - 1.58%). Seeing the low organic matter content above, it is necessary to improve the planting media, namely by adding organic matter. One of the natural organic soil amendments that can be used and has high potential because its availability is quite large is palm oil waste, namely Solid Decanter. Solid Decanter contains high levels of nutrients and organic matter, the results of the analysis of Solid Decanter Compost which was carried out at the beginning of the study showed that pH was 8.7, C-organic 34.78% and N-total 1.5%.This research was conducted in the coal mining concession area of PT. Nan Riang is located in Amplelu Mudo Village, Muaro Tembesi District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. The duration of this research was 4 months, starting from July 2022 to November 2022. The materials to be used in this study included sengon solomon plant seeds aged ± 4 months obtained from PT. Nan Riang, solid waste decanter obtained from PT. Angso Duo Sawit, KCl, SP36 and Dolomite lime. The tools used in conducting this research were stakes, hoes, dodos, tape measure, calipers, stationery, manual rainfall gauges, thermohygrometers, documentation tools and others. The experimental design used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), there were 7 treatments, the treatments were repeated 4 times, so there were 28 experimental plots, each plot had 4 plants as sample plants and the number of plants to be used was 112 plants. The results showed that the sengon solomon plant (Paraserienthes falcatariasubsp Solomonensis) had a real response to solid decanter compost. Application of solid decanter compost of 1.5 kg (S3) per planting hole was the best treatment for growth in height, diameter, number of leaves, shoot dry weight and root dry weight.
