Abstract
ABSTRAK Gaharu merupakan jenis tanaman yang memiliki banyak manfaat karena kayunya mengandung aromatik resin sehingga bernilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Manfaat gaharu yang begitu banyak mengakibatkan penebangan tegakan gaharu secara keseleruhan dan menyebabkan kelangkaan tanaman gaharu (Soeharto dan newton, 2002). Maka dari itu perlu adanya budidaya tanaman gaharu dengan menyediakan media tanam yang baik untuk menyediakan unsur hara yang cukup. Limbah tatal karet merupakan limbah organik berbentuk padat berupa kandungan serpihan kayu, daun-daun karet dan pasir (Alinda et. all, 2012) . Limbah pada karet merupakan limbah yang dihasilkan industry pengolahan karet yang ketersediaanya masih banyak belum ditangani secara efektif. Limbah tatal karet merupakan limbah organik yang dapat dijadikan campuran media tanam karena mengandung iKalium i(K) i0,29%, iFosfor i(P) i0,18%, iBahan iorganik i72,22%, iKarbon i© i41,88%, iNitrogen i(N) i1,28% idan iRasio iC/N i32,72 i(Supraptiningsih idan iSarengat, i2014). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan telah dilaksanakan di Lahan Pembibitan Fakultas Pertanian Prodi Kehutanan Universitas Jambi Kampus Pinang Masak, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan, dari bulan Desember 2022 sampai bulan Maret 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan masing-masing terdiri atas: p0(kontrol), p1(tanah topsoil dan limbah tatal karet 1:1), p2(tanah topsoil : limbah tatal karet 2:1), p3 (tanah topsoil dan limbah tatal karet 3:1), dan p4 (tanah topsoil dan tatal karet 1:2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan limbah tatal karet sebagai media campuran terhadap tanaman gaharu tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, diameter, jumlah daun, berat kering akar dan berat kering tajuk tanaman. Namun perlakuan yang terbaik ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan p1(tanah topsoil : limbah tatal karet 1:1). ABSTRACT Gaharu is a type of plant that has many benefits because the wood contains aromatic resins so that it has high economic value. The many benefits of gaharu have resulted in the felling of gaharu stands as a whole and led to a scarcity of gaharu plants (Soeharto and Newton, 2002). Therefore it is necessary to cultivate gaharu plants by providing good planting media to provide sufficient nutrients. Rubber scrap waste is organic waste in solid form containing wood chips, rubber leaves and sand (Alinda et. all, 2012). Waste in rubber is waste produced by the rubber processing industry, which is still widely available and has not been handled effectively. Rubber scrap waste is an organic waste that can be used as a mixture of planting media because it contains 0.29% iKalium (K), 0.18% Phosphorus (P), 72.22% organic matter, 41.88% Carbon ©, Nitrogen (N) 1.28% and C/N Ratio 32.72 (Supraptiningsih and Sarengat, 2014). This research was carried out at the Nurseries of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry Study Program, Jambi University, Pinang Masak Campus, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Outer City District, Muaro Jambi District. This research was conducted for 3 months, from December 2022 to March 2023. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 5 treatments and 5 replications each consisting of: p0 (control), p1 (topsoil and rubber scrap waste 1:1), p2(topsoil soil : rubber scrap waste 2:1), p3 (topsoil soil and rubber scrap waste 3:1), and p4 (topsoil soil and rubber scrap 1:2). The results showed that the use of rubber scrap as a mixed media for gaharu plants did not significantly affect the parameters of plant height, diameter, number of leaves, root dry weight and plant canopy dry weight. However, the best treatment was shown by treatment p1 (topsoil soil : waste rubber 1:1).
