Abstract
Kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang memiliki prospek sangat baik dikembangkan di Indonesia. Kedelai menjadi komoditas tanaman pangan terpenting ketiga setelah padi dan jagung. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik maka dalam pelaksanaan budidaya kedelai diperlukan tindakan mekanik terhadap tanah untuk membentuk keadaan tanah yang baik. Diketahui bahwa pengolahan tanah secara terus- menerus dapat menyebabkan kerusakan tanah seperti erosi dan perubahan sifat-sifat tanah, oleh karena itu diberikan material penutup tanah berupa mulsa organik untuk menjaga kelembapan tanah, menekan pertumbuhan gulma, mencegah erosi dan memperbaiki sifat-sifat tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari bulan September sampai dengan November 2021 di Teaching and research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Mendalo Indah Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor perlakuan yaitu a1= tanpa olah tanah, a2= olah tanah minimum, a3= olah tanah maksimum, t0=tanpa mulsa organik, t1= mulsa jerami, t2= mulsa alang-alang, t3= mulsa paitan sehingga mengasilkan 12 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara sistem olah tanah dan mulsa organik pada Jumlah polong isi dan jumlah cabang Primer tanaman kedelai. Soybean (Glycine max (L) Merril) is one of the agricultural commodities that has very good prospects for development in Indonesia. Soybean is the third most important food crop commodity after rice and corn. In addition, soybeans are one of the commodities that support food diversification, the high nutritional content, especially carbohydrates, can be used as a substitute for carbohydrates from rice. To get good results, in the implementation of soybean cultivation, mechanical action is needed on the soil to form good soil conditions. It is known that continuous tillage can cause soil damage such as erosion and changes in soil properties, therefore a ground cover material in the form of organic mulch is provided to maintain soil moisture, suppress weed growth, prevent erosion and improve soil properties. This research was conducted for 3 months from September to November 2021 ai Teaching and research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, Mendolo Inolah, Jambi Luar Kata District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two treatment factors, namely al- without processing soil, 02-minimum tillage, a3-maximum tillage, to-without organic mulch, t1=straw mulch, t2=lang-alang mulch, t3-poitan mulch resulting in 12 treatments and 3 replications. The results of this study indicate that there is an interaction between the tillage system and organic mulch on the number of filled pods and the number of primary branches of soybean plants.
