Abstract
ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Status gizi adalah salah satu penentu kualitas perkembangan dan pertumbuhan seseorang yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi kualitas dari sumber daya manusia. Semakin rendah asupan gizi makan semakin buruk status gizi balita. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor pendidikan ibu, pekerjaan ibu, pendapatan keluarga, dan jumlah anggota keluarga dengan asupan protein balita di desa Sungai Puri dan Sungai Mengkuang. Metode : Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Cross Sectional terdiri dari 35 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Propotional Simple Random Sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Chi Square Test. Instrument pada penelitian ini kuesioner, Food Recall, dan alat tulis. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi Square Test menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan pekerjaan ibu dan jumlah anggota keluarga dengan asupan protein (p=0,658 dan p=0,746) tetapi terdapat hubungan pendidikan ibu dan pendapatan keluarga dengan asupan protein balita (p=0,003 dan p=0,016). Artinya pendidikan ibu dan pendapatan keluarga merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap asupan protein balita. Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara faktor pendidikan ibu dan pendapatan keluarga dengan asupan protein balita. Selain itu asupan protein juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor infeksi penyakit, pengetahuan ibu, pola konsumsi, dan budaya. Untuk itu perlu peningkatan informasi kepada masyarakat agar dicegah lebih dini. Kata Kunci : Balita, Pendidikan Ibu, Asupan Protein, Gizi Balita. ABSTRACT Background : Nutritional status is one of the determinants of the quality of a person’s development and growth which ultimately affects the quality of human resources. The lower the nutritional intake, the worse the nutritional status of toddlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the correction between maternal education, mother’s occupation, family income, and the number of family members with the toddler protein in sungai Puri and Sungai Mengkuang villages. Methods : This type of research is quantitative using a cross sectional design consisting of 35 respondent. The sampling technique uses Propotional Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis was carried out with the Chi Square Test. Instruments in this study wer questionnaires, Food Recall, and Stationery. Results : Based on the results of the Chi Square Test, it showed that there was no correlation between the mother's occupation and the number of family members with protein intake (p=0.658 and p=0. 746) but there was a correlation between mother's education and family income with toddler’s protein intake (p=0.003 and p=0.016). This means that mother's education, mother's occupation and family income are factors that influence the protein intake of toddlers. Conclusion : There is a significant correlation between maternal education and family income with toddler protein intake. In addition, protein intake can also be influenced by infectious disease factors, mother's knowledge, consumption patterns, and culture.
