Abstract
Abstrak The purpose of this study was to find out the ratio of protein efficiency in broiler. The material used in this study was 270 DOC strain MB 202 platinum.. The ration used was Commercial Ration Novo 511 Nonantibiotic Growth Promoter (Non AGP). The design used was a completely randomized design with factorial 3 × 3 pattern with 3 replications. Factor A was the provision of MOS resulting from the hydrolysis of palm kernel meat at levels of 0%, 0.5% and 1% . Factor B was the provision of Lactobacillus plantarum at levels 0%, 0.5% and 1%. The changes observed it this study were ration consumption, protein consumption, body weight gain ( BWG) and protein efficiency ratio. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was usedto analyze the research data , which was then followed by Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the addition of Lactobacillus plantarum, the addition of MOS and the interaction between the addition of Lactobacillus plantarum and MOS in the ration showed a significant effect (P>0.05) on ration consumption, ration protein consumption, body weight gain, and ration protein efficiency ratio. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of MOS resulting from the hydrolysis of palm kernel meal as much as 1% with a combination of Lactobacillus plantarum as much as 1% in the ration can increase the efficiency ratio of ration protein in broiler chickens. Keywords : Lactobacillus plantarum, Mos, probiotics, prebiotics, and protein efficiency ratio.
