Abstract
Kata kunci: Infiltrasi, sifat fisika, penggunaan lahan, lereng The rapid increase in population has resulted in the need for land also increasing, thereby encouraging land use change activities. The research was carried out in Pematang Gajah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency. Soil sample analysis was carried out at the Soil Fertility Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. The research was carried out using a survey method with an area of 2,503.96 ha on land use for rubber plantations, oil palm plantations and shrubs. Determination of sampling points is based on Homogeneous Land Units (SLH) which are made based on land use and slope class (0-3%, 3-8% and 8-15%). The results of the research show that there are differences in infiltration rates and capacities in several land uses, the highest infiltration rates and capacities are in the use of rubber plantation land with a slope of 0-3% at 222.55 cm/hour and 234.07 cm/hour, while the and the lowest infiltration capacity is found in oil palm with a slope of 8-15%, namely 4.84 cm/hour and 19.09 cm/hour. Differences in land use and slope class affect the organic matter content, soil volume weight, soil porosity, and soil water content which influence the rate and capacity of infiltration. The results of regression and correlation analysis show that there is a relationship between infiltration rate and organic matter, soil volume weight, and soil porosity.
