Abstract

RINGKASAN Tumbuhan lumut (Bryophyta) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan tingkat rendah yang hidup di berbagai substrat seperti batu, kayu lapuk, dan tanah (terestrial). Selain itu ada pula yang hidup di batang pohon (arboreal). Bryophyta memiliki peran yang sangat penting bagi lingkungan diantaranya mampu mencegah erosi tanah, menyimpan air hujan, dan dapat berperan sebagai tempat hidup organisme lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis Bryophyta, untuk mengetahui keanekaragaan, kemerataan dan kekayaan jenis Bryophyta serta untuk mengetahui substrat masing-masing lumut yang ada di Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kawasan Wisata Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan terletak di Desa Lubuk Bernai, Kecamatan Batang Asam, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi dan di Laboratorium Agroindustri, Tanaman Obat dan Bioteknologi Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Jambi pada bulan Mei-Juni 2023. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling yaitu dengan menjelajahi lokasi penelitian, mengidentifikasi sampel, mendokumentasikan sampel, pembuatan herbarium, dan melakukan pengukuran faktor fisik lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan 14 jenis lumut tergolong dalam 12 famili dengan Keanekaragaman jenis lumut di Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai 2.564. Tingkat kemerataan jenis lumut di Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai 0.972. Sedangkan indeks kekayaan jenis lumut di Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan tergolong dalam kategori rendah dengan nilai 2.083. Tumbuhan lumut yang ditemukan di Air Terjun Ratu Calista Irawan memiliki karakter yang berbeda�beda. Lumut yang ditemukan hidup menempel pada bebatuan sebanyak 30% (9 jenis), kayu lapuk 27% (8 jenis), tanah 20% (6 jenis), batang pohon 17% (5 jenis) dan tangga beton 8% (2 jenis). Kata kunci: Inventarisasi, Keanekaragaman, Tumbuhan Lumut (Bryophyta). SUMMARY Moss plants (Bryophyta) are one of the lower plants that live on various substrates such as rocks, rotting wood and soil (terestrial). Apart from that, there are also those that live on tree trunks (arboreal). Bryophyta have a very important role in the environment, including being able to prevent soil erosion, storing rainwater, and acting as a place for other organisms to live. The aim of this research is to determine the types of Bryophyta, to determine the diversity, evenness and richness of Bryophyta types and to determine the substrate of each moss in the Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall. This research was conducted in the Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall Tourist Area located in Lubuk Bernai Village, Batang Asam District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province and at the Agroindustry, Medicinal Plants and Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, Jambi University in May-June 2023 The sampling method uses the Purposive Sampling method, namely by exploring research, identifying samples, documenting samples, making a herbarium, and measuring physical environmental factors. Based on the research results, 14 types of moss species were found belonging to 12 families with the diversity of moss types at Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall being classified in the medium category with a value of 2.564. The level of evenness of moss types at Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall is classified in the medium category with a value of 0.972. Meanwhile, the moss species richness index at Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall is classified in the medium category with a value of 2.083. The moss plants found at Ratu Calista Irawan Waterfall have different characters. 30% (9 types) of moss were found living attached to rocks, 27% (8 types) of rotting wood, 20% (6 types) of soil, 17% (5 types) of tree trunks and 8% (2 types) of concrete stairs.
