Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: According to data from the Bungo District Health Service for 2021, the number of refill drinking water depots (DAMIU) has reached 283. In the working area of the Air Gemuruh Health Center there are 26 depots, DAMIUs that do not meet the requirements. as much as 88.5%. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between sanitation hygiene at refill drinking water depots and the presence of Escherichia Coli bacteria in the Air Gemuruh Health Center work area in 2023. Method: This research is a quantitative type with a cross sectional design. Samples were taken using the total sampling method, totaling 35 DAMIU. Univariate and bivariate analysis used Fisher's test. Results: This study found that there was no relationship between handler hygiene and the presence of Escherichia Coli bacteria (p=0.19>0.05). It cannot be concluded that there is a relationship between site sanitation and equipment sanitation with the presence of Escherichia Coli bacteria in the Air Gemuruh Health Center Work Area. Conclusions and Suggestions: It is concluded that there is no relationship with the presence of Escherichia Coli bacteria in handler hygiene. Variables that cannot be concluded that there is a relationship are site sanitation and equipment sanitation because the data produced is constant. It is recommended for the Health Service to optimize the implementation of sanitation hygiene supervision and implement the policies that have been established as well as motivate entrepreneurs to always apply the principles of sanitation hygiene. Keywords: Escherichia Coli, Sanitation Hygiene, DAMIU.
