Abstract

Karakter disiplin remaja dipanti asuhan harus dibina secara optimal. Menerapkan kedisiplinan pada anak remaja bertujuan untuk membuat batasan agar anak terhindar dari perilaku menyimpang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya pengurus panti asuhan serta apa saja faktor penghambat dan faktor pendukung dalam pembinaan nilai karakter disiplin remaja di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian ini ialah jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif data. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya pembinaan yang dilakukan panti asuhan dalam pembinaan karakter disiplin remaja yaitu pertama memaksimalkan aturan-aturan/program yang telah disepakati, kedua memberikan sanksi bagi yang melanggar, ketiga memberikan pemahaman melalui metode ceramah,pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Adapun faktor pendukungnya yaitu : 1. kesediaan dan tekad pengurus panti asuhan, 2. komitmen panti asuhan dan anak asuh. 3. lingkungan sosial yang kondusif. Selain itu, juga ada beberapa faktor penghambat seperti, 1. Kemauan yang masih rendah 2. Latar belakang yang berbeda 3. Pengaruh pergaulan diluar panti asuhan 4. Kurangnya sarana dan prasarana dan SDM dipanti asuhan. The disciplined character of teenagers in orphanages must be fostered optimally. Applying discipline to teenagers aims to create boundaries so that children avoid deviant behavior. The research aims to find out how the orphanage management works and what are the inhibiting and supporting factors in fostering the values of adolescent discipline character at the Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Orphanage, Jambi City. This research method is a type of qualitative descriptive data research. Data obtained using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research can be concluded that the coaching efforts carried out by orphanages in developing the disciplined character of teenagers are first, maximizing the rules/programs that have been agreed upon, secondly providing sanctions for those who violate them, thirdly providing understanding through lecture methods, habituation and example. The supporting factors are: 1. willingness and determination of the orphanage administrators, 2. commitment of the orphanage and foster children. 3. conducive social environment. Apart from that, there are also several inhibiting factors such as, 1. Low willpower 2. Different backgrounds 3. Influence of relationships outside the orphanage 4. Lack of facilities and infrastructure and human resources in the orphanage.
