Abstract
The study investigated student perceptions of student-centered learning's impact on improving speaking skills in the English course at Raudhatul Mujawwidin Islamic Boarding School during the 2022/2023 academic year. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey design, 69 class VIII and IX students participated. Stratified sampling yielded a sample of 19 students from class IX B and 17 from class IX C. Data, collected through a questionnaire, were analyzed using SPSS. Results indicated majority agreement with the statement, though some students disagreed. Average scores for strong agreement, agreement, disagreement, and strong disagreement were 16.25, 16.45, 2.9, and 0.4, respectively.
