Abstract

Background : Standar Kompetensi Dokter Indonesia (SKDI) is guidelines used to determine the competencies that must be possessed by a doctor in Indonesia. SKDI consists of seven areas, one of the important aspects of these areas is the ability to collaborate. Interprofessional Education (IPE) is an educational strategy concept presented by the WHO (World Health Organization) to improve collaboration capabilities between different health workers. The aim of this research is to look at the readiness of Jambi University medical and nursing students in IPE learning. Methods : This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The data generated from this research will provide an overview of the readiness of students in the medical and teaching study program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University towards the IPE curriculum using the Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS) questionnaire. Respondents were active students in semester 4 in 2022, who had not yet been exposed to IPE learning Results : The results illustrate the readiness for IPE of medical and nursing students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University who are well prepared for learning the IPE (Interprofessional Education) curriculum. Judging from the domains of teamwork and collaboration, and professional identity, the results showed good results of 100%, while the domain of roles and responsibilities showed good results at 38.7%, quite good results at 58%, and poor results at 3.3%. Conclusion : Medical and nursing students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University in 2022 are ready for IPE.
