Abstract

Di Indonesia umumnya kambing perah yang banyak dikembangkan adalah kambing Peranakan Etawah (PE). Kambing PE berasal dari persilangan antara kambing Kacang yang berasal dari Indonesia dengan kambing Etawah yang didatangkan dari India. Kambing PE merupakan jenis kambing perah (dairy goat) dengan kualitas susu yang baik. Kambing PE sudah menyebar di seluruh pedesaan di Indonesia dan sudah dikenal sebagai ternak penghasil susu dan penghasil daging. Kambing PE dapat menjadi alternatif ternak perah untuk meningkatkan produksi susu dalam negeri. Hal ini didukung oleh tingginya sumber daya kambing PE, ketersediaan pakan, dan minat petani untuk mengembangkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon penambahan daun bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus Lour) yang diproteksi tanin terhadap kualitas susu kambing Peranakan Etawah. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu 12 ekor kambing Peranakan Etawah laktasi kedua dan ketiga, hijauan, konsentrat dan daun bangun-bangun yang telah diproteksi tanin. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 kelompok berdasarkan produksi susu kambing Peranakan Etawah sebagai ulangan. P0 = hijauan 70% + konsentrat 30%. P1 = P0 + 0,4% daun bangun-bangun. P2 = P0 + 0,8% daun bangun-bangun. P3 = P0 + 1,2% daun bangun-bangun. Peubah yang diamati yaitu berat jenis susu, lemak susu, dan protein susu kambing Peranakan Etawah. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (Anova) jika berbeda dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian daun bangun-bangun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap berat jenis (BJ) susu, lemak susu, dan protein susu. Rataan berat jenis susu penelitian adalah 1,0277 dengan kisaran 1,0262 – 1,0292, rataan lemak susu penelitian adalah 3,66 dengan kisaran 3,30 – 4,36, rataan protein susu penelitian adalah 3,61 dengan kisaran 3,10 – 4,14. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian daun Bangun-bangun yang diproteksi tanin dan tanpa proteksi memberikan efek yang sama terhadap berat jenis (BJ), lemak dan protein susu. In Indonesia, generally the most widely developed dairy goats are Etawah crossbreed goat (PE). PE goats come from a cross between Kacang goat which comes from Indonesia with Etawah goat imported from India. PE goats are a type of dairy goat. with good milk quality. PE goats have spread throughout the countryside in Indonesia and is already known as a milk-producing and meat-producing livestock. PE goats can be an alternative dairy livestock to increase production domestic milk. This is supported by the high resources of PE goats, availability of feed, and farmers' interest in developing it. This research aims to determine the response to adding leaves wake-bang (Coleus amboinicus Lour) which is protected by tannins for quality Etawah crossbreed goat's milk. The materials used in this research were 12 crossbreed goats Etawah second and third lactation, forages, concentrates and leaves has been protected by tannins. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) which consists of 4 treatments and 3 groups based on milk production Etawah crossbreed goat as a repeat. P0 = 70% forage + 30% concentrate. P1 = P0 + 0.4% leaf wake. P2 = P0 + 0.8% leaf wake. P3 = P0 + 1.2% leaves wake up. The variables observed were the specific gravity of milk, fat milk, and Etawah Peranakan goat milk protein. Data is analyzed using analysis variance (Anova) if different, continue with the Duncan test. The results of the study showed that giving leaves wakes up no significant effect (P > 0.05) on specific gravity (BJ) of milk, milk fat, and milk protein. The average specific gravity of the research milk was 1.0277 with a range 1.0262 – 1.0292, the average milk fat in the study was 3.66 with a range of 3.30 – 4.36, the average research milk protein was 3.61 with a range of 3.10 – 4.14. The conclusion of this research is the provision of Bangun-bangun leaves protected by tannin and without protection have the same effect on specific gravity (BJ), milk fat and protein.
