Abstract
ABSTRAK Hidayat, Ahmad (2023). Peran kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMK Taruna Indonesia Jambi. Pembimbing (I) Dr. Mohamad Muspawi, S.Pd.I.,M.Pd.I. Pembimbing (II) Dr. K.A. Rahman, S.Ag., M.Pd.I. Program Studi Magister Manajemen Pendidikan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran kompentesi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan di SMK Taruna Indonesia Jambi. Data awal ditemukan bahwa sebagian siswa secara klasikal tidak tuntas belajar hal ini sebagai daya tarik peneliti untuk melakukan penelitan atas masalah tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan metode penelitian deskriftif kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data berupa metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumen bertempat di SMK Taruna Indonesia jambi Jalan Marsda Surya Darma KM.7 Kelurahan Kenali Asam Bawah, Kecamatan Kota Baru, Kota Jambi. Waktu penelitian dimulai bulan September sampai Oktober 2023. Teknik pemeriksaan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi, analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dengan komponennya reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam menigkatkan mutu pendidikan beberapa bagian telah dilakukan dengan baik sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia nomor 13 tahun 2007 tentang Standar Kepala Sekolah/Madrasah bagian kompentesi manajerial kepala sekolah dan perlu perbaikan dalam (1) penyusunan rencana sekolah dengan mengikutsertakan seluruh guru dan staf dalam pembahasan RKAS; (2) Kepala sekolah perlu membuat rencana strategis jangka panjang; (3) Kepala sekolah tidak melibatkan siswa dalam piket jaga pos sekolah disaat jam pelajaran; (4) Kepala sekolah diharapkan membuat petunjuk teknis terkait dengan tindakan dan pembinaan siswa; (5) Kepala sekolah menyampaikan proses pembelajaran setiap bulannya atau setiap tiga bulan kepada orang tua; (6) Kepala sekolah perlu memberikan tindakan dan pembinaan kepada guru dan staf yang tidak menjalankan tugasnya dengan baik; (7) wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum membuat program kegiatan remedial dan pengayaan pembelajaran; (8) menambah kapasitas asrama sekolah; tersedianya tenaga kesehatan di UKS; (9) pelayanan BP/BK tidak hanya kepada siswa yang bermasalah tetapi juga kepada siswa yang membutuhkan bimbingan bakad dan minatnya; (10) diharapkan konsisten dalam menerapkan hasil evaluasi sebagai tindak lanjut pada program kegiatan selanjutnya. Faktor pendukung: anggaran; kualifikasi GTK, sarana dan prasarana; kerja sama dengan DUDI. Faktor penghambat: gaya mengajar guru; perundungan dan; disiplin guru. The role of the principal's managerial competence in improving the quality of education at Taruna Indonesia Vocational School, Jambi. Supervisor (I) Dr. Mohamad Muspawi, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I. Supervisor (II) Dr. KA Rahman, S.Ag., M.Pd.I. Master of Education Management Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University. This research aims to explain the role of school principals' managerial competence in improving the quality of education at Taruna Indonesia Vocational School, Jambi. Preliminary data found that some classical students did not completely learn this, which attracted researchers to carry out research on this problem. In this research, the researcher carried out a qualitative descriptive research method, a case study type. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documents at the Taruna Indonesia Vocational School, Jambi, Jalan Marsda Surya Darma KM.7, Kenali Asam Bawah Subdistrict, Kota Baru District, Jambi City. The research period starts from September to October 2023. Data examination techniques use triangulation techniques, data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques with components of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the research show that the role of the principal's managerial competence is good in terms of developing the school organization, leading the school in the context of utilizing school resources, creating school culture and climate, managing teachers and staff, managing facilities and infrastructure, managing school relations with the community, managing finances. schools, managing special service units, and utilizing advances in information technology to improve learning and school management. Improvements are needed in (1) preparing school plans by involving all teachers and staff in discussing the RKAS; (2) School principals need to make long-term strategic plans; (3) The school principal does not involve students in picketing the school post during class hours; (4) School principals are expected to make technical instructions related to student action and development; (5) The school principal conveys the learning process every month or every three months to parents; (6) The school principal needs to provide action and guidance to teachers and staff who do not carry out their duties properly; (7) the deputy principal for curriculum creates a program of remedial activities and learning enrichment; (8) increasing the capacity of school dormitories; availability of health workers in UKS; (9) BP/BK services not only to students with problems but also to students who need guidance on their talents and interests; (10) is expected to be consistent in implementing the evaluation results as a follow-up to the next activity program. Budget supporting factors; GTK qualifications, facilities and infrastructure; collaboration with DUDI. Factors inhibiting teachers' teaching styles; bullying and; teacher discipline.
