Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Unmet need KB adalah pasangan usia subur yang ingin menunda kehamilan atau tidak ingin anak lagi tetapi tidak menggunakan kontrasepsi apapun. Data SIGA DPPKB Kota Jambi tahun 2022 Kecamatan Kota Baru menempati peringkat tertinggi penyumbang unmet need KB di Kota Jambi sebesar 32,23%. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab unmet need KB di Kecamatan Kota Baru tahun 2023. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 136 wanita pasangan usia subur diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan bulan Agustus-September 2023 menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data dengan uji Chi-square. Hasil : Hasil uji analisis terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan (p=0,005), riwayat pernah menggunakan KB (p=0,009) dan dukungan suami (p=0,012). Sedangkan variabel umur (p=0,409), jumlah anak hidup (p=0,608), tingkat pendidikan (p=0,508), status pekerjaan (p=0,108) dan penghasilan keluarga (p=0,055) tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian unmet need KB di Kecamatan Kota Baru tahun 2023. Kesimpulan : Faktor pengetahuan, riwayat pernah menggunakan KB dan dukungan suami berhubungan dengan kejadian unmet need KB. Penting untuk meningkatkan peran promotor kesehatan dalam konseling KIE KB secara efektif. Kata Kunci : Unmet need KB, Keluarga Berencana, Pasangan Usia Subur ABSTRACT Background: The Unmet need for family planning is a couple of childbearing age who want to delay pregnancy or do not want more children but do not use any contraception. Data from SIGA DPPKB Jambi City in 2022, Kota Baru Sub-district ranked the highest contributor to unmet need for family planning in Jambi City at 32.23%. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that cause unmet needs for family planning in Kota Baru District in 2023. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 136 women of childbearing age taken using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried out in August-September 2023 using a questionnaire. Data analysis with Chi-square test. Results: The results of the analysis test showed a relationship between knowledge (p=0.005), history of using birth control (p=0.009), and husband support (p=0.012). While the variable age (p=0.409), number of living children (p=0.608), education level (p=0.508), employment status (p=0.108), and family income (p=0.055) are not associated with the incidence of unmet need for family planning in Kota Baru District in 2023. Conclusion: Knowledge factors, history of using family planning, and husband's support are associated with the incidence of unmet needs for family planning.
