Abstract

ABSTRAK Widayan, Pramugita 2023. Pengaruh TikTok Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Prosedur Siswa Kelas VII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penaruh dari penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih melalui teknik random sampling yaitu dengan mengundi populasi kelas VII yang terdiri atas 4 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 105 orang di SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi sehingga didapatlah kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol yang sama-sama terdiri dari 26 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes menulis teks prosedur pada kedua kelompok kelas. Kelompok eksperimen yaitu kelas VII C diberikan perlakuan berupa penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran, sedangkan kelompok kontrol yaitu kelas VII A tidak diberikan perlakuan serupa. Data penelitian ini kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji N-gain untuk melihat dan mengukur pengaruh TikTok melalui gain skor dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Setelah gain skor didapat, dilakukan uji independent sample t test guna melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan yang terjadi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dianaisis serta diuraikan dalam pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajarn pada kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi mendapat hasil berupa diterimanya hipotesis alternatir (H1). Hal ini dari hasil pretest-posttest pada kelas eskperimen yang mana penggunaan TikTok berpengaruh pada penulisan teks prosedur pada aspek struktur teks, meski tidak pada unsur kebahasaan. Selain itu, melalui uji n-gain, penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran memperoleh evektivitas sedang yang dilihat dari nilai ratarata yamg didapatkan, yaitu 0,45. Penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII juga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, hal ini diperoleh berdasarkan uji independent sampel t-test yang memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebsar 5%, sehinggan melalui hasil analisis yang telah diterapkan, penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran diketahui memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi.   ABSTRACT Widayan, Pramugita 2023. This research aims to determine the effect of using TikTok as a learning medium on the ability to write procedural texts for class VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used in this research is pretest-posttest control group design with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was selected using a random sampling technique, namely by drawing lots from the class VII population consisting of 4 classes with a total of 105 students at SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi so that class VII C was obtained as the experimental class and class VII A as the control class were the same. The same consists of 26 students. The research instrument used was a procedural text writing test in both class groups. The experimental group, namely class VII C, was given treatment in the form of using TikTok as a learning medium, while the control group, namely class VII A, was not given similar treatment. This research data was then analyzed using the N-gain test to see and measure the influence of TikTok through gain scores from the experimental class and control class. After the gain score is obtained, an independent sample t test is carried out to see whether there is a significant effect. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, analyzed and described in the discussion, it can be concluded that using TikTok as a learning medium for the ability to write procedural texts for class VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi resulted in the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). This is from the results of the pretest-posttest in the experimental class where the use of TikTok influenced the writing of procedural texts in the text structure aspect, although not in terms of linguistic elements. Apart from that, through the n-gain test, the use of TikTok as a learning medium obtained moderate effectiveness as seen from the average value obtained, namely 0.45. The use of TikTok as a learning media on the ability to write procedural texts for class VII students also has a significant influence, this was obtained based on the independent sample t-test which obtained a significance value of 5%, so that through the results of the analysis that has been applied, the use of TikTok as a learning media known to have an influence on the ability to write procedure texts for class VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi.
