Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang Dampak rokok kepada masyarakat sangat menghawatirkan, karena tingginya jumlah perokok di Indonesia, terutama generasi muda seperti siswa SMA. Perlu dilakukan promosi kesehatan agar dampak akibat merokok bisa dipahami. Perbedaan media yang dipakai untuk promosi juga mempengaruhi pemahaman masing-masing individu, seperti promosi dengan penyuluhan langsung atau melalui video edukasi. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas media promosi berupa penyuluhan dan video edukasi tentang dampak merokok terhadap kesehatan pada siswa sma 11 kota jambi. Metode Ini merupakan pei nei litian kui antitatif ei kspei rimei ntal dei ngan dei sain prei -tei st dan post-test menggunakan kuesioner dengan 30 pertanyaan yang sudah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan univariat dan bivariat. Hasil Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 271 siswa 154 responden dilaksanakan promosi Kesehatan dengan penyuluhan (56,8%) dan 117 responden dilaksanakan promosi Kesehatan dengan video edukasi (43,2%). Gambaran pengetahuan kelompok penyuluhan sebelum di intervensi didapatkan 68 kategori baik (44,2%) sesudah di intervensi didapatkan 113 kategori baik (73,4%). Pada kelompok video edukasi sebelum dilakukan intervensi didapatkan 57 kategori baik (48,7%) sesudah di intervensi didapatkan kategori 77 (65,8%) kategori baik. Perbandingan efektivitas pengetahuan antara media penyuluhan dan video edukasi pada siswa SMA 11 kota Jambi didapatkan hasil uji statistik Mann Whitney signifikansi 0,045. Kesimpulan Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan pre-test dan post-test pada kedua kelompok dan terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara kedua kelompok dimana kelompok penyuluhan lebih efektif dibanding video edukasi. Kata kunci merokok, penyuluhan, video edukasi, pengetahuan ABSTRACT Background The impact of smoking on society is very worrying, because of the high number of smokers in Indonesia, especially the younger generation such as high school students. Therefore, health promotion needs to be carried out so that the impacts of smoking can be understood. Differences in the media used for promotion also influence each individual's understanding, such as promotion with direct counseling or through educational videos. Objective This research is to determine the comparative effectiveness of promotional media in the form of counseling and educational videos about the impact of smoking on health among 11 high school students in Jambi City. Methods This is an experimental quantitative research with a pre-test and post-test design using a questionnaire with 30 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability . Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate. Results The research included a total of 271 students, 154 respondents carried out health promotion with counseling (56.8%) and 117 respondents carried out health promotion with educational videos (43.2%). The description of the knowledge of the extension group before the intervention found 68 good categories (44.2%) after the intervention found 113 good categories (73.4%). In the educational video group before the intervention, 57 were in the good category (48.7%) after the intervention, 77 (65.8%) were in the good category. A comparison of the effectiveness of knowledge between counseling media and educational videos for SMA 11 students in Jambi City resulted in a statistical significance test of 0.045. Conclusion There is a difference in pre-test and post-test knowledge in the two groups and there is a difference in effectiveness between the two groups where the counseling group is more effective than the educational video.
