Abstract
ABTRAK PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK GUANO TERHADAP SIFAT KIMIA ULTISOL DAN HASIL TANAMAN KACANG TANAH (Skripsi oleh Untung Ebinson Bagariang dibawah bimbingan Ir. Suryanto, M.S). Ordo Ultisol adalah salah satu ordo tanah yang dijumpai di Indonesia. Provinsi Jambi merupakan salah satu daerah dengan sebaran luasan Ultisol yang cukup besar. Luas ordo Ultisol di Provinsi Jambi mencapai ± 1.956.162 ha atau sekitar 39,93% dari luas tanah di Provinsi Jambi. Ultisol mengandung bahan organik yang rendah sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya penambahan bahan organik agar tanaman kacang tanah dapat tumbuh dengan baik seperti dengan pemberian pupuk organik guano. Kacang tanah merupakan salah satu komoditi tanaman pangan yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi karena kandungan gizinya terutama protein dan lemak yang tinggi serta banyak digunakan sebagai bahan makanan juga sebagai bahan baku industri. Produksi kacang tanah di Indonesia belum mampu untuk mencukupi kebutuhan dalam negeri yang masih memerlukan subsitusi impor dari luar negeri sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan produksi kacang tanah melalui pemanfaatan lahan ordo Ultisol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian pupuk guano terhadap peningkatan pH, C-organik, N-total, tinggi tanaman dan berat polong kering kacang tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi yang dimulai dari Mei 2023 sampai September 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 24 petak percobaan. Ukuran petak percobaan 3 m x 2 m dengan jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm sehingga dalam satu petakan terdapat 75 tanaman. Perlakuan yang digunakan meliputi (K₀) kontrol/tanpa pemberian pupuk guano, (K₁) 0,5 ton ha¯¹ pupuk guano, (K₂) 1 ton ha¯¹ pupuk guano, (K₃) 1,5 ton ha¯¹ pupuk guano, (K₄) 2 ton ha¯¹ pupuk guano, (K₅) 2,5 ton ha¯¹ pupuk guano. Parameter kimia tanah yang diamati adalah pH, C-organik dan N-total sedangkan parameter tanaman yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman dan berat polong kering kacang tanah. Analisis data menggunakan sidik ragam (anova) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda (Duncan Multiple Range Test/DMRT) taraf α = 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pupuk guano mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman kacang tanah. Namun, belum mampu meningkatkan secara nyata pH, C-organik, N-total tanah dan berat polong kering kacang tanah. Pemberian perlakuan dosis terbaik dalam meningkatkan rata-rata tinggi tanaman yaitu pada dosis 1,5 ton ha¯¹. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF GUANO FERTILIZER ON THE CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ULTISOL AND PEANUT CROPS YIELD (Thesis by Untung Ebinson Bagariang under the guidance of Ir. Suryanto, M.S). The Ultisol order is one of the soil orders that is often found in Indonesia. Jambi Province is one of the areas with a fairly large distribution of Ultisol. The area of the Ultisol order in Jambi Province reaches ± 1,956,162 ha or around 39.93% of the land area in Jambi Province. Ultisol contains low organic matter, so efforts need to be made to add organic matter so that peanut plants can grow well, such as by providing organic guano fertilizer. Peanuts are a food crop commodity that has high economic value because of their nutritional content, especially high protein and fat and are widely used as food ingredients as well as industrial raw materials. Peanut production in Indonesia has not been able to meet domestic needs which still require import substitution from abroad, so efforts need to be made to increase peanut production through the use of Ultisol order land. This research aims to study the effect of providing guano fertilizer on increasing pH, organic C, total N, plant height and dry pod weight of peanuts. This research was carried out in Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency starting from May 2023 to September 2023. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, so there were 24 experimental plots. The size of the experimental plot was 3 m x 2 m with a planting distance of 40 cm x 20 cm so that in one plot there were 75 plants. The treatments used included (K₀) control/no guano fertilizer, (K₁) 0.5 ton ha¯¹ guano fertilizer, (K₂) 1 ton ha¯¹ guano fertilizer, (K₃) 1.5 ton ha¯¹ guano fertilizer , (K₄) 2 tons ha¯¹ guano fertilizer, (K₅) 2.5 tons ha¯¹ guano fertilizer. The soil chemical parameters observed were pH, organic C and total N, while the plant parameters observed were plant height and dry pod weight of peanuts. Data analysis used analysis of variance (Anova) and continued with a multiple range test (Duncan Multiple Range Test/DMRT) at a level of α = 5%. The results of the research showed that providing guano fertilizer was able to increase the height of peanut plants. However, it has not been able to significantly increase soil pH, organic C, total N and peanut dry pod weight. The best dose of treatment to increase the average plant height is at a dose of 1.5 tons ha¯¹.
