Abstract
Kurikulum Merdeka yang baru-baru ini diperkenalkan kini dapat diakses. Kurikulum Merdeka dianggap sebagai teknik pembelajaran yang menjadikan siswa memperoleh pengetahuan dalam lingkungan yang santai dan menyenangkan, bebas dari stres dan tekanan. Selain itu, ini menjadikan siswa dapat menunjukkan kemampuan bawaan mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Menurut (Straus dan Corbin 2008), penelitian kualitatif dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan keluarga, fungsi organisasi, gerakan sosial, dan kehidupan masyarakat, sejarah, dan perilaku. Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan Kurikulum di SMAN 5 Kota Jambi yang dilakukan secara wawancara dan dokumentasi. Maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut penerapan kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah tersebut kurang optimal. Dimana di temukan beberapa permasalahan seperti penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang masih dalam tahap persiapan, masih dikembangkannya P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pembelajaran Pancasila), serta guru belum mempersiapakan diri secara optimal dalam menerima dan menjalankan Kurikulum Merdeka. The recently introduced Merdeka Curriculum is now accessible. The Merdeka Curriculum is considered a learning technique that enables students to gain knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, free from stress and pressure. Additionally, it enables students to showcase their innate abilities. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. According to (Straus and Corbin 2008), qualitative research can be used to analyze family relationships, organizational functions, social movements, and community life, history, and behavior. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum is based on the principles of Curriculum development at SMAN 5 Jambi City which was carried out through interviews and documentation. So it can be concluded as follows: The implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in this school is less than optimal. Where several problems were found, such as the implementation of the Independent Curriculum which is still in the preparation stage, the P5 (Pancasila Learning Profile Strengthening Project) is still being developed, and teachers have not prepared themselves optimally in accepting and implementing the Independent Curriculum.
