Abstract

Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Thaha Saifuddin sebelumnya merupakan kawasan hutan produksi. Berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Kehutanan Nomor : 94/KptsII/2001 tanggal 15 Maret 2001 dengan luas lahan ± 15.830 ha, kawasan tersebut berubah menjadi Taman Hutan Raya. Secara geografis wilayah. Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Thaha Saifuddin terletak antara 01° 40’ 44” – 2° 11’ 12” Lintang Selatan dan 103° 09’ 09” – 103° 14’ 15” Bujur Timur. Kawasan Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Thaha Saifudin mempunyai fungsi utama yaitu tempat pelestarian kayu bulian yang merupakan salah satu jenis unggulan Provinsi Jambi serta untuk objek wisata alam. Semua aspek demografi populasi diamati dengan teknik strip transek pada garis 500 x 40 meter dengan dua pengulangan perhari. Jumlah jalur yang diamati adalah empat jalur yang memiliki ekosistem yang berbeda-beda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa total populasi sebanyak 161 individu dengan pendugaan populasi sebesar 318-1053 ekor/Km2 , dengan nilai kepadatan rata-rata 9 ekor/ha. Adapun struktur umur, simpai yang paling banyak ditemukan pada saat penelitian ini adalah struktur umur muda dibandingkan dengan umur dewasa dan anak. Dengan rincian 63 individu dewasa, 74 individu muda dan 24 individu anak. Perbandingan jenis kelamin yang didapatkan pada simpai dewasa jantan dan betina di kawasan Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin yaitu sebanyak 58 individu jantan dan individu betina sebanyak 79 adalah sebesar 1:1 Kata Kunci: TAMAN HUTAN RAYA SULTAN THAHA SYAIFUDDIN, Presbytis melalophos. Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Grand Forest Park was previously a production forest area. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number: 94/Kpts-II/2001 dated March 15 2001 with a land area of ± 15,830 ha, the area was changed to a Grand Forest Park. Geographically regional. Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Grand Forest Park is located between 01° 40' 44" - 2° 11' 12" South Latitude and 103° 09' 09" – 103° 14' 15" East Longitude. The Sultan Thaha Saifudin Grand Forest Park area has the main function, namely a place to preserve bulian wood which is one of the superior types of Jambi Province as well as a natural tourist attraction. All aspects of population demographics were observed using the strip transect technique on a 500 x 40 meter line with two repetitions per day. The number of routes observed is four routes that have different ecosystems. The research results showed that the total population was 161 individuals with an estimated population of 318-1053 individuals/Km2, with an average density value of 9 individuals/ha. As for the age structure, the most frequently found circle during this research was the young age structure compared to adults and children. With details of 63 adults, 74 young individuals and 24 children. The sex ratio obtained in adult male and female hoops in the Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Forest Park area, namely 58 male individuals and 79 female individuals, was 1:1.
