Abstract
An experiment to study the effect of Gibberelic Acid (GA3) on the differentiation of potato tuber buds had been conducted at the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi. Six levels of GA3 concentrations (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5mg/L) were used to induced the differentiation of the explants. The experiment was arranged in a Completely Randomised design with 10 replicates. The result indicated that the use of GA3 in low concentration (0.5 and 1.0mg/L) increased the formation of shoots and leaves. The intact plantlet produced on 0.0, 0.5 and 2.5mg/L of GA3 concentration, and the callus was not formed.
