Abstract

Pengelolaan hutan mangrove merupakan suatu upaya yang harus dilaksanakan, karena kegiatan ini memerlukan sifat akomodatif terhadap semua pihak yang berada di sekitar kawasan maupun di luar kawasan. Salah satu strategi dalam pengelolaan sumber daya alam mangrove adalah berbasis masyarakat lokal. Melalui persepsi masyarakat, individu dapat menyadari dan memahami keadaan pribadi individu yang bersangkutan. Persepsi masyarakat dapat disimpulkan sebagai respon atau pengetahuan lingkungan dari kumpulan individu yang bergaul dan berinteraksi satu sama lain karena mempunyai nilai dan norma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan kawasan mangrove di Desa Tanjung Solok Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan kawasan mangrove di Desa Tanjung Solok. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 metode yaitu metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah persepsi masyarakat Desa Tanjung Solok terhadap pengelolaan hutan mengrove mempunyai skor sebesar 89,98% yang berarti persepsi masyarakat Desa Tanjung Solok berada pada kategori Baik. Pengaruh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan hutan mangrove di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung mempunyai pengaruh bersama yang signifikan antara variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Hasil uji analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap 5 variabel menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 variabel yang mempunyai pengaruh nyata dan signifikan terhadap persepsi masyarakat, yaitu variabel pendidikan dan variabel informasi. Sedangkan variabel yang tidak mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat adalah umur, pekerjaan dan pengalaman. Mangrove forest management is an effort that must be implemented, because this activity requires an accommodative nature toward all parties located araund the area or outside the area. One strategy in managing mangrove natural resource is based on local communities. Through public perception, individuals can realize and understand the personal situation of the individual concerned. Community perception can be concluded as a response or environmental knowledge from a collection of individuals who associate and interact with each other because they have values and norms. This reaserch aims to determine community perception of mangrove area management in Tanjung solok Village, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, and to find out what factors influence community perception of mangrove area management in Tanjung Solok Village. This research uses 3 methods, namely the interview method, observation and documentation and the data analysis method used is the multiple linear analysis method. The results of this research are that the perception of the people of Tanjung solok village towards mengrove forest management has a score of 89.98%, which means that the perception of the people of Tanjung Solok Village is in the Good category. The influence of factors that influence people’s perceptions of mangrove forest management in Tanjung Jabung Regency which have a significant joint effect between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results of the analysis test that have been carried out on 5 variables show that there are 2 variable that have a real and significant influence on public perception, namely the education variable and the information variable. Meanwhile, variables that do not influence people’s perceptions are age, job and experience.
