Abstract

ABSTRACT Soybeans are a type of legume or grain crop and are one of the annual crops that are sensitive to water deficits. The problem in soybean cultivation which is an important factor that must be considered is drought, which is a serious obstacle to soybean cultivation which affects the growth and development and productivity of soybean plants. The research was carried out at the Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. The research was conducted from July 2022 to September 2023. The design used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) using a Split-plot pattern with 2 main factor levels used in this research, namely C0 = no stress and C1 = drought stress, and 15 subsidiary factors consists of 15 varieties namely V1 Argomulyo, V2 Dega-1, V3 Deja-1, V4 Deja-2 V5 Derap-1, V6 Detap-1, V7 Devon-1, V8 Devon-2, V9 Dena-2, V10 Gepak Kuning , V11 Anjasmoro, V12 Grobogan, V13 Dena-1, V14 Dering, and V15 Detam. The experiment was repeated 2 times, so that 60 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 polybags with 3 sample plants. The parameters observed were flowering time, plant height, root dry weight, root length, total pod weight, total pod number, filled pod weight, number of filled pods, seed weight, number of seeds, proline analysis and total sugar analysis. The research data were analyzed using variance at a confidence level of 95% (α = 5%). Next, to see the differences between levels on the main plot, the BNT test was carried out, and at the subplot level, the Scott-Knott test was used. The results of this study show that drought stress has a significant effect on the growth and development of soybean plant height and can influence differences in the response of each variety to the growth and development conditions of different soybean varieties, but stress has no significant effect on flowering time, root length, root weight, pod weight. total, total number of pods, weight of filled pods, number of filled pods, seed weight, and number of seeds. The results of the sensitivity index show that the Deja-1, Devon-1, Dena-2, Gepak Kuning, Anjasmoro and Dering varieties are varieties that are tolerant to drought stress. The varieties Dega-1, Detap-1, and Detam are varieties that are somewhat tolerant to drought stress. Argomulyo, Deja-2, Derap-1, Devon-2, Grobogan, Dana Dena-1 are varieties that are sensitive to drought stress. Keywords: Soybean Plant, Drought Stress, drought stress tolerant varieties Kedelai merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman legum atau biji-bijian dan termasuk salah satu tanaman semusim yang peka terhadap defisit air. Permasalahan pada budidaya tanaman kedelai yang menjadi faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan adalah Kekeringan dimana hal ini merupakan kendala serius pada budidaya kedelai yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan serta produktivitas tanaman Kedelai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Green House Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2022 sampai September 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan merupakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) menggunakan pola Split-plot dengan 2 taraf faktor utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu C0 = tanpa cekaman dan C1 = cekaman kekeringan, dan 15 faktor anakan terdiri dari 15 varietas yakni V1 Argomulyo, V2 Dega-1, V3 Deja-1, V4 Deja-2 V5 Derap-1, V6 Detap-1, V7 Devon-1, V8 Devon-2, V9 Dena-2, V10 Gepak kuning, V11 Anjasmoro, V12 Grobogan, V13 Dena-1, V14 Dering, dan V15 Detam. Percobaan diulang sebanyak 2 kali, sehingga didapat 60 satuan percobaan. Pada masing-masing satuan percobaan terdiri dari 6 polybag dengan tanaman sampel sebanyak 3 sampel. Parameter yang diamati adalah waktu berbunga, tinggi tanaman, bobot kering akar, panjang akar, bobot polong total, jumlah polong total, bobot polong isi, jumlah polong isi, bobot biji, jumlah biji, analisis prolin dan analisis gula total. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam pada taraf kepercayaan 95 % ( α = 5 % ). Selanjutnya untuk melihat perbedaan antar taraf pada petak utama dilakukan Uji BNT, dan pada taraf anak petak menggunakan uji Scott-Knott. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Cekaman kekeringan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tinggi tanaman kedelai serta dapat mempengaruhi perbedaan respon setiap varietas pada kondisi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan varietas kedelai yang berbeda tetapi cekaman tidak berpengaruh nyata pada terhadap waktu berbunga, Panjang akar, bobot akar, bobot polong total, jumlah polong total, bobot polong isi, jumlah polong isi, bobot biji, dan jumlah biji. Hasil indeks sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa varietas Deja-1, Devon-1, Dena-2, Gepak kuning, Anjasmoro, dan varietas Dering merupakan varietas yang toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Varietas Dega-1, Detap-1, dan Detam merupakan varietas yang agak toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Argomulyo, Deja-2, Derap-1, Devon-2, Grobogan, dana Dena-1 merupakan varietas yang sensitif terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Kata kunci : Tanaman Kedelai, Cekaman Kekeringan, varietas toleran
