Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang : Status gizi sangat penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan optimal pada masa awal kehidupan anak. Faktor-faktor seperti pengetahuan ibu dan praktik dalam pemberian makan s pada anak mempengaruhi status gizi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI secara responsive feeding dengan status gizi anak usia 7-24 bulan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI secara responsive feeding terhadap status gizi anak usia 7-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Paal V Kota Jambi. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional.Data dikumpulkan pada bulan Maret-April 2024. Jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 1.295 responden dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 98 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih melalui Teknik Accidental Sampling. Penelitian ini terdiri atas variabel dependen adalah status gizi dan variabel independen adalah pengetahuan ibu dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI secara responsive feeding. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil : Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu (p = 0,029) dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI secara responsive feeding (p = 0,049) Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dan praktik pemberian MP-ASI secara responsive feeding dengan status gizi anak usia 7-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Paal V Kota Jambi. Kata Kunci : Status Gizi, Pengetahuan, Praktik MP-ASI, Responsive Feeding. Abstract Background: The nutritional status is crucial in supporting optimal growth and development during the early stages of a child's life. Factors such as maternal knowledge and practices in feeding influence the nutritional status of children. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and the practice of giving MP-ASI responsively to the nutritional status of children aged 7–24 months in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi City. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. Data was collected in March–April 2024. The total population in this study was 1,295 respondents, with a research sample of 98 respondents. The samples in this study were selected through the accidental sampling technique. This study consists of two variables: the dependent variable is nutritional status, and the independent variable is maternal knowledge and the practice of giving MP-ASI responsively. Data analysis using the chi-square test. Results: There was a relationship between maternal knowledge (p = 0.029) and the practice of giving MP-ASI responsively (p = 0.049). Conclusion: There is a relationship between maternal knowledge and the practice of giving MP-ASI responsively to the nutritional status of children aged 7–24 months in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi City.
