Abstract
RINGKASAN RESPONS PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN KOPI LIBERIKA (Coffea liberica W.Bull ex Hiern) PADA KOMBINASI PEMBERIAN KOMPOS AMPAS KOPI DAN PUPUK KOTORAN KAMBING DI LAHAN GAMBUT (Wilfrida Dwi Apriana Turnip dibawah bimbingan Dr. Lizawati, S.P., M. Si. dan Ir.Nyimas Myrna Elsa Fathia, M.P.). Kopi merupakan salah satu hasil komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi dan berperan penting sebagai sumber devisa negara. Kopi Liberika banyak dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dan mulai dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur yang mempunyai kondisi geografis yang sama-sama memiliki lahan gambut. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah gambut dengan pemberian pupuk organik yaitu kombinasi kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing. Pemanfaatan pupuk organik menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk penyedia unsur hara bagi tanaman kopi Liberika dan untuk mengurangi penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan tanaman kopi Liberika pada kombinasi pemberian kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing di lahan gambut dan mendapatkan dosis terbaik pada kombinasi kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing pada pertumbuhan tanaman kopi Liberika di lahan gambut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Jati Mulyo, Kecamatan Dendang, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Desember 2023 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) satu faktor yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan yaitu p0= tanpa kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing (pupuk NPK sesuai dosis anjuran), p1= (100 g kompos ampas kopi + 300 g pupuk kotoran kambing) + NPK 50% dosis rekomendasi, p2= (200 g kompos ampas kopi + 400 g pupuk kotoran kambing) + NPK 50% dosis rekomendasi, p3 =(300 g kompos ampas kopi + 500 g pupuk kotoran kambing) + NPK 50% dosis rekomendasi, p5= (400 g kompos ampas kopi + 600 g pupuk kotoran kambing) + NPK 50% dosis rekomendasi. Perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 25 unit satuan percobaan yang terdiri dari 4 tanaman dimana 3 tanaman digunakan sebagai sampel sehingga jumlah bibit yang diperlukan sebanyak 100 tanaman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut :1) Kombinasi pemberian kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing mampu meningkatkan pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan diameter, dan kadar klorofil, namun tidak mampu meningkatkan pertambahan jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang. 2) Pertumbuhan tanaman kopi Liberika dengan kombinasi pemberian kompos ampas kopi dan pupuk kotoran kambing terbaik pada dosis (200 gram kompos ampas kopi + 400 gram pupuk kotoran kambing) + NPK 50% dosis rekomendasi. SUMMARY GROWTH RESPONSES OF LIBERICAN COFFEE PLANT (Coffea liberica W.Bull ex Hiern) TO THE COMBINATION OF COFFEE WASTE COMPOSITION AND GOAT MANURE FERTILIZER IN GAMBUT LAND (Wilfrida Dwi Apriana Turnip under the guidance of Dr. Lizawati, S.P., M. Si. and Ir.Nyimas Myrna Elsa Fathia, M.P.). Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has a high economic value and plays an important role as a source of foreign exchange. Liberica coffee is widely cultivated in West Tanjung Jabung Regency and is starting to be cultivated in East Tanjung Jabung Regency which has the same geographical conditions as peatlands. Efforts to improve peat soil fertility by applying organic fertilizer, namely a combination of coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer. The use of organic fertilizers is an alternative to provide nutrients for Liberika coffee plants and to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response of Liberika coffee plants on the combination of coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer in peatlands and to get the best dose of the combination of coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer on the growth of Liberika coffee plants in peatlands. This research was conducted in Jati Mulyo Village, Dendang District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. This research was conducted from December 2023 to March 2024. This study used a one-factor Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of five treatments, namely p0 = without coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer (NPK fertilizer according to the recommended dose), p1 = (100 g coffee grounds compost + 300 g goat manure fertilizer) + 50% NPK recommended dose, p2= (200 g coffee grounds compost + 400 g goat manure fertilizer) + NPK 50% recommended dose, p3 = (300 g coffee grounds compost + 500 g goat manure fertilizer) + NPK 50% recommended dose, p5= (400 g coffee grounds compost + 600 g goat manure fertilizer) + NPK 50% recommended dose. The treatments were repeated 5 times so that there were 25 units of experimental units consisting of 4 plants where 3 plants were used as samples so that the number of seedlings needed was 100 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows: 1) The combination of coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer is able to increase the increase in plant height, diameter increase, and chlorophyll content, but is not able to increase the increase in the number of leaves and the number of branches. 2) The growth of Liberika coffee plants with a combination of coffee grounds compost and goat manure fertilizer is best at a dose of (200 grams of coffee grounds compost + 400 grams of goat manure fertilizer) + NPK 50% of the recommended dose.
