Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Motivasi Belajar Siswa, IPAS Aktivitas motivasi belajar siswa yang belum terlihat dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran dan pembelajaran yang hanya mengacu pada buku siswa melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model problem based learning untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada Pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN 171/I Bajubang Laut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dimana data yang diambil yaitu berupa data observasi melalui lembar observasi motivasi belajar siswa, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis & Mc Taggar yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning pada pelajaran IPAS mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa mengalami peningkatan motivasi dengan memperhatikan tiap indikator motivasi belajar siswa: 1) mengungkapkan pendapat, 2) konsentrasi pada pembelajaran, 3) minat pada pembelajaran, 4) senang dalam pembelajaran yang dapat terlihat pada setiap siklus pertemuan. Siklus I pertemuan I sebesar 43% dan pada pertemuan II sebesar 50% yang mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 7 %. Siklus II pertemuan I 60%, pada pertemuan II 77% yang mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 17%. Penerapan model problem based learning ditunjang dengan sumber belajar video pembelajaran dan visual yang sesuai dengan pelajaran serta mengaktifkan tanya jawab pada pembelajaran. Langkah-langkah penerapan model problem based learning terdiri dari 5 langkah yaitu: 1) mengarahkan perhatian siswa pada masalah, 2) mengorganisasikan aktivitas pembelajaran, 3) memberikan bimbingan untuk mengeksplorasi secara individu dan dalam kelompok, 4) membuat dan menampilkan hasil kerja, dan 5) menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses penyelesaian masalah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN 171/I Bajubang Laut. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Student Learning Motivation, Science Student learning motivation activities that have not been seen in following the learning and learning process that only refers to student books are the background to this research. It aims to describe the application of the problem based learning model to improve student learning motivation in Science Lessons of class V SDN 171/I Bajubang Laut. The research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of 2 cycles, where the data taken was in the form of observation data through student learning motivation observation sheets, interviews and documentation. This study uses the Kemmis & Mc Taggar model which consists of 4 stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data in this study were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the results of the study, applying the problem-based learning model to science lessons can increase students' learning motivation. This is because students experience increased motivation by paying attention to each indicator of student learning motivation: 1) expressing opinions, 2) concentrating on learning, 3) interest in learning, 4) enjoying learning which can be seen in each meeting cycle. Cycle I meeting I was 43% and at meeting II it was 50% which increased by 7%. Cycle II meeting I was 60%, at meeting II 77% which increased by 17%. The application of the problem-based learning model is supported by learning resources in the form of learning videos and visuals that are in accordance with the lesson and activate questions and answers in learning. The steps for implementing the problem-based learning model consist of 5 steps, namely: 1) directing students' attention to the problem, 2) organizing learning activities, 3) providing guidance to explore individually and in groups, 4) creating and displaying work results, and 5) analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model can increase students' learning motivation in science lessons for class V of SDN 171/I Bajubang Laut.
